I guess you didn't read the post where I complimented it... oh well I guess i should have not deleted it.... I don't see how you can take such offence to a query about the origin of the image... I did read the TOS, I was not putting the work of another person down. the part which I point out is a very integral part of photoshop and how is it created within photoshop?

when you pate it makes a new layer ith the cut/coppied imaged from the layer you cut/coppied from just move the layer it made

set a layer to color black,ok is it text , a vector layer mask, I doubt they mean greyscale, or a solid layer... BTW that sounds like a layer filled with black - it could just be a matter of using the curves to make the curve from / to _, that will make it black what's the cost of the tutorial? what's it about?

duplicate layer - image -adjust-desaturate create new layer fill with a colour like RGB r=94 g=58 b=0 set layer mode from normal to screen, 50% opacity duplicate theis layer and set layer mode to overlay add layer mask to suit your taste btw stopped what, the disclaimer or giving advice before try-ing it them selves.
