Darn, that needs to be on a wish list I guess. Any way I made a new Free Desk Lamp model in vob format however the objects are 3ds. Check it out if you have a moment. -shoopThread: Some FREE 3d models | Forum: Vue
Thanks Sharen and Argentium. I am trying to get better at modeling these objects. Argentium the index image was done in Vue with post work in photo shop. Thanks again for the comments. More to come soon I need to put up a links page for Sam's site and all the others out there as well. :O)

This is the very reason I try and make all my own models. I have to agree with Wladamire. Sam's is a great site and all the proper apologies have been made. But I ask you all this. When if ever has an Artist that makes free art to be down loaded for free and in my case has even been swiped by God only knows who to make a profit on. I was very surprised one day when I got an email about buying something or the other and sure enough they use one of my pictures to sell the product. I just let it go as why push on a rope or pee in the wind. Copy right theft is IMHO a very, very grey area. When you have people like Yahoo that host tons of illegal pictures every day with no recourse and then you have one poor little artist that makes a picture using some thing or some picture and people make a stink about it. It is absolutely ridiculous. I ask again does anyone know of ONE artist that has been sued over this. My two cents. shoop

Can some one please tell me what the purpose for OpenGL is? I mean why is it in the program? I have yet to see any benefit? Just wondering about this for awhile now. Thanks.

I like the present rules as they are, however will be flexible to what ever the group opinions may be.

Perhaps it would be better to combine the rules so everyone can read it in one place? Just makes sense to me. Unless it is wanted for people to make a mistake? Just my two cents.

That's a good point MightyPete that has happened to me more than once. I have noticed that some obj files are set at different Mesh angels that seem to cause problems in Vue as far as applying the textures. I think this was discussed here once before. --shoop

Perhaps you can change the Materials in the Material editor the small ball on the top tool bar. Or sometimes you can split the object by clicking on it twice and then clicking the split button. I hope I have understood your question and this may help. Best regards, and good luck .. shoop
