wow, storm!!! I'll pass that medal onto you! how did you ever come up with that one? it's incredible! my mind is utterly boggled at the possiblities. tweaked morphs on demand! what a blast! gotta try this one ASAP. just goes to show that cooperation and sharing pay off for everybody. maclean

man, you guys in the States seem to have really weird providers. I'm in Italy, and all I did was phone up, log in, get all the e-mail boxes I want and 100 megs of webspace. I go on the net, never see a banner, my site works for zips etc, and apart from the phone bill (about 60c an hour), it doesn't cost a penny. What's the deal? Am I missing something? maclean

yeah, this is basically an animation thing, which I don't do much of, so maybe that's why I never came across it. but for inventing new poses...wow, it's great! I already found the 'tab' key shortcut, shadownet, except I didn't have animation open when I was doing all this, so all it did was take me to the first pose. re the catsuit, I just found the most incredible combination of bump maps and 'blackchromes', and once I get it organised, I'll post the entire circus in one package. believe me, the possiblities are endless!! maclean

blau, yes "select the home key" does mean press it. just my Scottish way of saying things! the catsuit is what I was doing when this whole thing started. if you're interested, I was trying out 'negative reflection maps' (which I call blackchrome maps). basically, all I did was invert a few reflection maps to see what would happen. it's interesting, but not quite there yet. if I get it sussed, I'll post it. maclean

visque, thanks a lot for setting me off on this one. it just happened to coincide with the technique I was using for my gold lamdress (wasn't trying to jump the gun on you!) I'm not much into animation, so I can't answer that one, but if you know anything about animation, check the question I'm posting about 'Posetweak'. maybe you can help. maclean

shadownet quick add-on. my gold lamdress in Freestuff combines a transmap and reflection map (and bump map). it can be done. the trick is to check both 'multiply through lights' and 'multiply through object color' try it. maclean

just posted it now in Freestuff for anyone who wants to have a look. I personally can't decide if it looks good or just plain ugly. definitely 70s retro. all is explained in the readme. this will be part of a transmapped outfit (hopefully with a slightly less violent look to it!) enjoy (if you can) maclean

diane, glad you like it, and glad you could use it! A very different look from mine, but really effective. I wanted a pale gold color, and I've realised since posting that, by reducing the refl. map strength, you can make it even paler. Obvious of course, but I'm a bit slow at times. The reverse effect is to do what you've done and change the reflection color to intensify it. Looks good. YAYY!! Someone likes my first post! (thanks for your encouragement) maclean
Thread: Urgent help with Poser requested... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had to re-install a couple of times, and each time I've done a complete uninstall first. Poser only deletes it's own standard figures and files, and leaves anything not in the original install, so you should be allright doing it that way. I'm not making any guarantees though. Each time, I've done a complete back-up of anything modified, just in case. maclean

I had problems too at first, but then I got the stuff OK. Are you on Netscape or Explorer? Try clicking in the address bar and hitting 'enter'. His site should appear in the bottom half of the page. Sorry, I don't know his address. maclean

Love it, jim! And, as always....terrific heels! Your heels are on every one of my posettes. The only shoes in town as far as I'm concerned. Just one nag....is your backyard grass really that green? maclean
