Thread: Putting a photographed face on a Poser head | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

'Creae perspective UV' in the group tool was fixed a few years ago.
Set your face photo as texture on a large panel aft of the figure, panel perpendicular to camera. Parent the panel to the camera Scale viewport to let it match the image exactly.
Move camera (and panel), and morph figure such that main face fetaures of the figure line up wth the same points on the image. (wireframe view may help) In group tool select the face/head of the figure and hit 'create perspective uv's'. The face of your figure now should have uv-mapping such that your photo can be used as face texture.
Cool! I had no idea.

Hey, does anybody know whether the JCM asymmetry in the Poser 11 version of Evo got fixed in ONE? I'e been using the Poser 10 version for rigging.

I've never put a product out. She wasn't hard to make though. Oh i did use a paid product in the making of her which was lip morphs by biscuits. But reading that it says you can use her morphs for a merchant resource. I'm not sure but that sounds like I could make a freebie character. guess i'd need a texture set though and i can't texture. Love esther
I would be happy to send you screen caps of my dial spins though.
You are free to repurpose any of my freebie skins if you want to do a freebie. Cheers.

There are no makeups for the supplied skins. Your available options right now are my freebies Alex (Caucasian) and African skin for Evolution ONE, both available here at Rendo, and @trekkiegrrrl’s Clarissa character which has, I think, three makeup options. At the official Smith Micro forum, there is a thread on an experimental converter for V4 face textures (with a free product at CP) that I haven’t had time to try yet. Let’s hope to get a Texture Transformer plug-in.
Thread: Problem importing G3M Clothes in Poser 2014/11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Do you change the cr2 to point to the obj? I'm pretty sure I tried that without success, but maybe I'm wrong.

I didn’t think you could export G3 items as cr2’s to Poser because the rigging is different, unless you use Willdial’s utility. G2 cr2’s convert fine I’m Poser.
Thread: Transfering to a new PC, esp. DSON importer and content | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You need to transfer all the DSON-related files, too. Why not copy everything and then do a clean reinstall of just Poser 10 if you want to.

It’s great to hear from you! Updates whenevah. She’s great now. PE inspired me to create my first actual things with obj’s and all-Shoes! Now work for her is spinning off for other under-served figures. And more is coming! Thanks for everything you’ve done so far. Spinning off the upkeep makes perfect sense.

Check out my freebies and @trekkiegirl’s here at Rendo and @amanthapendant’s freebies at share charle gamma. A fair amount of PE stuff is coming out. A lot of the clothing is dynamic, but PE can use V4 clothes through conversion. Her closet is full.
Thread: Deleted Poser 11 Pro this morning - back to Poser10/2014 Pro | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I move figures/characters/clothes from DAZ to Poser all the time. Many G2 products have Poser Conversion Files, and if you go through your product library and download them to your Poser runtime, they will appear in Poser. But here's the rub. You have to rely on DSON to run DAZ native G2 figures and kit in Poser, and DSON is always an iffy proposition. It's slow and unreliable.
My solution is to convert my DAZ figures to native Poser ones. You can do this with people and clothing. You will need to buy Netherworks Creators Toybox at Hivewire3D, which has instructions on the fairly simple procedure for converting your DAZ stuff so it will act like anything else in Poser. If you look for my posts at Hivewire's forums (this place won't allow me to link to the other site), I've described the process in step by step terms because the Hivewire world includes Poser and DAZ users who get along and help each other out.
A native G2F or G2M figure will play well with the fitting room because it has real Poser rigging.
For G2 outfits that don't have Poser CF files, it's a simple matter to export them from DS as cr2's and run the Toybox on them. Presto: Poser native! I also have had no problem exporting obj's of Genesis 3 clothes and importing them to rig in the fitting room or the setup room. Exporting the loaded item from DS as an obj carries the materials with it. Is that how you are exporting your obj's?
