MikeJ: Well I have put in more lights, but distributed them differently. So now, I got a couple of days with rendering. All of my pictures need better rendering, but with my crappy old computer, I cant do that! I only have V dE 2.0 and Coreldream 7, so thats what Im using. I cant realy afford newer and better software, not that they cost much, but the hardware I would need, do! Honestly, even if I had a powerfull computer and the latest software, I wouldnt be able to make so good people. Ive never been good at drawing people at all. Things are a lot more easier. How realistic do you want your Waiting Girl to become? I could more or less slaughter it. Take it to pieces and tell you all the errors. One thing that make it look fake, is the white/grey walls. There are no structure in them. The same thing with the curtains. Single colors make things look unnatural. The curtains seems to hang in the air. Whats holding them up? Just like me, you have problems with the lights. If you want it to be photo realistic, then drop V dE. Shadows are never grey. I learned that, when I watched paintschool on television. Look on the shadows around you. Theyre red, blue and yellow, depending on the color from the texture that they have been reflected by. If you look at the shadows on the womans legs. They are just a darker color of her skin. But in real life, they would have been slightly red, because of the red texture on the bed. With so much light hitting that red texture, the light would bounch back and hit the other objects. The ceiling should have a red shine. The ceiling also need structure! I hope I didn' make you upset? Ms_Outlaw: (If you read this though.) What are you trying to make? If you got any problems, then just ask. Ive only been using VdE 2.0 during the last 4 months, but it could happen that I could help you. Send me an instant message or e-mail if you wonder about anything.

There is one Alexander and me (Alekssander). We have different styles. No problem? My skills? I have seen the people and faces you make. And I'm not even close to be able to make people like that. Honestly, I'm realy jealous!!

gebe Since I got a crappy old computer, Im not going to buy V dE 4 yet. Thanks for the flame. I got an uppgraded advertisement version of 2.0 . It has some future that the original 2.0 didnt. I already have 30 hour rendering time, so a couple of hours more. Ehh dont mind ;) Im not sure that V dE 3 texture dont work with 2. I try anything! Caroluk I send you an e-mail! Ill try it. If it works, it works, if it dont, it dont! Thanks anyway!

Im using an updated advertisement version of 2.0. So I got no ideas, about what your talking about (broadcast). I got an old computer: pIII 400Mhz, and with astonishing 64 MB ram. (Its a rental, so I cant upgrade it. It have to do with taxes and stuff.)But Im going to get a new computer in March. But thats a very long time to wait! I am going to make the room less shiny, but I have to have some shine, That is a very big part of the picture. So i dont think that it is going to help much. Oh, I didnt know that it was possible to stop and restart, but if Im going to render a little bit know and then, Im never ever going to get finished. I realy dont have that kind of patience to make these kind of things;) Just wandering. Do you have a nice ice texture? I tried to make an ice sculpture, but with the ice/snow texture I got, it just looked stupid. It didnt look like ice att all.

YL, Oh ok. I think that organic modelling sounds interresting, so Im going to try that later some time. Thanks. Kurka, I agree that parts of the Dream 3d are very ok, but its difficult, not to look at an object from all of the angles at once. I manged to make the donout, and that was what I was missing. Im going to try Amapi, during the next week. Thanks. MikeJ, Thanks. Well I got a lots of ideas but unless you can send me a supercomputer, I want be able to do much with the studio. I move an object, wait 20 seconds, ooops wrong place, another 20 seconds. lol And of course the endless rendering. Hours after hours, just to find a tiny little error. ;) Varian, Well I have already been right and left clicking and dragging more or less everthing,(that could be the problem though;) but Im not realy satisfade. But Im not giving up yet. Radiosity = supercomputer ? I manged to import a donout in the end, and I have already used it several times. So Im a little bit more happy;) Alekssander

MikeJ Well Im going to read about both the Open FX and Amapi, to see if anyone of them can help me or not. Im not sure I need a lot of sample files. I just found out that I can use the Corel Dream 3d, but its not very good. It based on a one window view, and I find it difficulty to make complex objects. I can also import .raw, but I got no Idea what that is. No Im a beginner, so I dont have any 3D file con. program yet. Gebe Thanks, your right. There is an export possibility that I completely forgot. So I just made the biggest donout in V dE history;) Dont need that table then, thanks anyway. But the dream 3d is realy crappy. I find it difficult to use. Turning up all of them to 100% dont work, unless I turn the room into a solarium. I still get grey and black patches , depending on camera angle. Im used to use Worldcraft from the old days, and in that program, the light reflected around the room. The shadows also worked better. So I think Im going to forget that idea. It just dont look real :) Kurka Ok, Thanks! Alekssander

I agree on that it is much up to the artist, but there are huge differenties among the software. I make technical stuff, since Im horrible at making people. (Somebody that would want to cooperate?) Since I only have the V dE 2 free version, Im not even close to make the work that I got on my mind. I have never used Bryce, so Im not very familier with it. But I realy think that the limits in the cheaper software, makes it difficult to make the great work. I still cant bend a pipe. It maybe dont sound like much, but that is something that makes my head spin and create frustration. I could do that in the corel draw 7 3d thingy, except I cant used those in V dE. I know that other software can create haze and mist, so that its possible to see the lightbeams. Both studio1 and stage9 would have looked totaly different with lightbeams crisscrossing the rooms. Making it look more real. I created about 10000 raindrops in an attempt to make it work. The rendering : time left 7h30. I tried to use smoke. Every thing turned white. lol. Do I sound frustrated? I realy am! Just load up stuff. Nothing to be afraid of. Can it be worse then mine? ;) Ses sikkert senere Alekssander
