Maybe check out some of the free studio lights over at Runtime DNA. Sam Therapy-I agree totally about the DAZ lights. Even at $2 I felt robbed.

And just think, Mr. Jackson is overseeing Halo! Now if there was any way he'd direct a new Star Wars film...hope springs eternal.

By not paying much I mean something in the $20-30 per month range (US) I've dealt with free sites before...yuck! :)

Thread: Poser 5 and Poser 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
IMHO, Poser 6 is well worth the money compared to P5. It's still not perfect, but Poser 6 has a lot of nice features.
As for your PC:

Thread: I never though SP3 could look this good! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That is one good-looking morph. Reminds me a little of Jessica Alba. (What I wouldn't give for a quality V3 morph of her!) Have you checked out "Bayturners Delenhoure" by Orion 1167? I've been thinking of picking that character set up. Keep up the good work!
Thread: Is "Red Sandal Set for V3 S3 A3 Girl" compatable with Poser 6 ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the set and it works fine in P6. The set includes a "toe fit" pose you'll find in the Mat Pose folder for the Red Sandals. Conform the sandals to your fugure and apply that pose after your charcter is posed and watch the magic happen! Just make sure you select the correct toe fit pose for your figure. (V3,A3,SP3)

Thread: Poser 6 and hair mats! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had a problem with Grace Lion Hair MATS rendering all white. Is this the same problem??
Thread: Poser6 Upgrade Questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, your graphics card is only used by P6's preview mode, and it's not totally necessary. (Any Open GL card should do) P6's Firefly rendering engine takes some getting used to, but it's really not that bad. With the wealth of P6's features, mainly in rendering and procedural shaders, I think you'll be very happy. (Not to mention Image Based Lighting and Ambient Occlusion) If you're not interested in photorealistic renders, then Poser 4 or even the free DAZ Studio will suit your needs.
Thread: Looking for a Ponytail | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
With the right texture set, Strike pony tails looks nice and conforms better than any other. 3Dream's ponytail is very nice too. It comes with quite a few textures and is availbe here in the Marketplace.
Thread: Video Card question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Seeing as how Poser doesn't support hardware accelerated rendering, any old card that supports Open GL will work. (The card is used only in Poser's preview) For games, I highly reccomend ATI's Radeon X800 line, especially the 16 pipe versions.
Thread: Backgrounds that don't cover after rendering? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If your image is too big, use karen1573's suggestion and apply your background as a texture to a one sided square primitive. Just scale it to your image dimensions first.

This happened to me too. In the Firefly render settings, make sure the maximum texture size is bigger than your render dimensions. Worked for me.
