Try saving images as png's - this will leave the background colour transparent. You can add the background in your paint program. That might solve the lined background problem. I use this option to produce Poser 91*91 pixel thumbnails in Poser 5 and it works for me. Why do you turn off anti-aliasing?

I don't have a MAC to test on so I play safe to avoid disapointing people. File references are kept short and use : instead of / so it should be ok.
Thread: Loading .cr2 files that reference bump maps with a ".jpg" extension | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When I use bump maps - I do them in JPEG for PP/P5 users. I also develop seperate MAT poses. The P4 MAT's do not access bump maps, so I include an explanation for users to apply them 'by hand' with Poser 4 converting the JPEG's. Put in a warning about file sizes too for users converting bump maps.

I feel some shadows would give your nicely posed characters some depth. Perhaps a touch of blurring on the trees would help to minimise the effect of branches growing out her head. A bump map on the bench might help too. A lovely composed scene though. Well done.

At this site you will find some amazing free hair for standard Poser figures: http://digitalbabes2.com/ And this site will give you the really good Maya Doll Basic, also free. http://www.3digitalcrafts.net/studiomaya/1download/mdb/index.html Best Wishes with Poser.

A pixel sample rate of 12 will mean a big increase in the time taken to render your images, especially complex scenes with lots of objects and lights! The manual suggests a figure of 3, but I find 5 or 6 works fine. The difference higher values make depends on the scene you are rendering. Much the same applies with the shading rate too - higher values = longer render times. Are you turning on antialising and adjusting the dpi setting as well? These will make as much, or more, difference to your renders. Best Wishes.

Don't forget to aquire some photography knowledge too. The principles for composition and lighting were established long before computers! I took a look at your site and I feel a few tweaks to the way you compose your scenes will benefit. Best Wishes.

Thread: Question about the market for DAZ studio ( Not a Joke) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If Studio gets a good renderer plugin, a good material room and so on, then there will be some kind of market. Oh, but the cost of all those plugins will make it more expensive than Poser 5 which already has excellent capabilities.
Thread: What is Daz studio ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Studio is an imitation Poser - it can't load Poser 5 compressed files and its material room is virtually the same as Poser 4 and vastly inferior to Poser 5. Studio can't do morph creation. Studio doesn't have a face room. It may render slightly better than Poser 4 but it don't come close to the quality of Poser 5 firefly render. When Studio grows up it may know what it wants to be!
Thread: A message from the DAZ|Elves ;) | Forum: DAZ|Studio
With Poser 6 in the pipeline DAZ seems to be playing a second rate game of catch up. Poser 5 for all its little quirks still has - a comprehensive material room, face room, setup room and the firefly renderer. It all seems like a case of corporate squabbling between Curious Labs and DAZ. However, please keep up the good work with Studio because it may make future, or present, releases of Poser more competitively priced.
Thread: Please post D|S posts in the D|S Forum | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
D/S will not last long enough to make the above arguments relevent. Poser v A New Toy = no contest. DAZ should stick with what it does best: models to use within Poser, although of late there has been a noticable drop in the quality of some of their stuff.
