If it's too dark. (Damn PC<=>MAC gamma crap) Just grab the image and open it up in your favorite paint program. James

One more thing, No facials morphs were used, except the lip width on the P4NF. I wanted to do a Straight out of the box comparision. Off Topic: Diane, No: I will post the curtian on the Poser FS. They/it has a pull morph and Poser ready, all you need to do is add the rod and ties. I just need to find a home for it. James
Thread: Assistance request: Mirrors in poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser 4 does not have true reflections. The "Reflections" dial in the Materials requester is what's called an Environment reflection. Simply this means that a global picture/map will be reflected in the materials you choose. As this is nice for a sunset reflection in a pair of sun glasses or a great metalic chrome look. You can not place a mirror object in poser and hope it will reflect the surrounding objects. Sorry. Your best bet is to set up things in Poser and export the figures and objs into another program like Bryce (Or any program that has true reflection rendering) and do your rendering there. The only work around is to try to fake the reflection by doing post work in PSD or PhotoShop. Render 2 pics in Poser. 1: The actual scene. 2: One with every thing you want reflected behind the mirror obj. (diffucult) hope this helps. James

Now who was it who complained about going off thread? Hmmm. This is just a render, I am not selling or pushing the new model in any way. I am just pushing my somewhat talent here. For a comparison of Milli/Victoria vs the P4NF look at my new post. James PS: My ISP is still migrating, so I have to find a home for the lace curtian. Any takers?

IT was rendered in Bryce. No Post work (Ok I lie, I did a tiny smear on the hair, but that's it honest). Yes i agree that she's not as pretty , but this is the most realistic render that I've done. I'll replace here with P4nudeFemale and see. BTW: The lace curtian will be up on the FS as soon as I can. It has a (not so great) pull back morph. And of course I will include the texture map/Transparency map.

To say what has been touched upon very little. Go out and price a hi-res female model from any of the other major 3D suppliers. $60 is a very fair price, in the 3D world. And if you could find one of this quality (this inexpensive) you'd have to make that model posable, and if you want them to do it ..more money. We have been spoiled by all the freebies we DO get. I think it will be a split decision. Some will get and use her some will not. And niether should hate the other. James

YEs I too am slightly dissapointed that zero, nada, ziltch morphs were included to change the face shape. I would have thought that at least the morphs that exisited in the P4 figure would have been included along with the new ones. (Maybe theese are waiting for us as an upgrade like the beard. The beard was released without morphs, and 2 days later had them) Also I thought to even whet our appitites more that at least the crows feet morph would be included ;-) All-in-all I think Victoria/Milli has great potential once the morphs are there. And of course clothes! James

oyaku That hair is a style I made for a character for the Poser 4 FemaleNude. THe old hair still works with here, you jsut have to move it a little and a little resizeing. James PS: Sorry this hair is not avalible. It uses some of the hair from Zygote's Clothing CD.

For my 0.02 worth. I got it for the detail in the face. With morph targets I can create (and I know several others here that can) and endless varitey of facial features and expressions. It will be awesome for character creation. You can only push and pull a small ammount of verticies so far, but with almost double think of the detail. The body is secondary to me. I rarely do nudes. but when I do it is very moody lighting and I agree that a Poser 4 Figure would do just fine. I think the challenge is to get some great clothes for her. (Another subject) I am a bit dissapointed in the lip/mouth area. I think they are far to wide, but can be morphed. And I really don't like the nose, again that can be morphed. Also the hands are much better, and what I've played with so far , The elbows and knees don't break as easily as older figures. So I guess what I'm saying is I like it for the detail in the face. Have had this problem in the past with Zygote's DLs. I'm on a MAC: If the file indeed downloads, and says invalid, or won't open with Stuffit Expander, reboot the MAC and rebuild the desktop. This seems to help and then the file should be able to be un-stuffed. As for the PC, I'd go with Alex's suggestion. It seems MIVA (I had the choice to use this cart on my own site, and chose not to. Lots of bugs) may screw with the extentions. As with the MAC it says ".sit" but on download, it says saving as a "file" not the usual "will open with Stuffit Expander" Also had that pesky "Expiried thing several times. Zygote is very good at getting you the file though. But I KNOW you bought it NOW you want it NOW. James Hmm, keep trying.

Sorry taerin, the hair is indeed an obj. One that I painstakingly created. Pushing and pulling .. and then creating the back flow with a braid. But the downside is, I used Zygote's hair as the top. So it can't be given away without Zygote's permission. James

Wow! What a great response. Thanks! Well come hell or high water I will try to post it THIS WEEKEND. (Pam I just may take you up on that offer of hosting) It still has some quirks, but what doesn't. I'll post it anyway, I'm sure with it's faults it will be usable for something. I was going to supply the texture map, but these damn maps are getting so large (I may anyway) even with compression it's still over a meg. A 1365 x 1024 pixal pict. I'll see what I can do. Of course the template will be included. Sorry Darth. I made that hair too. The bottom part is mine but, the top is a zygote costume part (non standard Poser prop), so I can't give it away. :( See my next post to see why I made the dress in the first place. James
