Nice scene, IMHO anything goes, the render engine is the basis, postwork is a part of the creation. Whatever it takes to achieve the the artists conception, so be it.

YES!!, Thank You, Thank You all. I've been here for 2 years, Entering in the challenge since last June. I have all of you Veterans and Newbies alike to Thank. Every time I come in here I learn something new. Thank you from the bottom of my hard drive and all those millions of renders, a small percentage you have seen and the larger percentage I wouldn't even show my therapist. The reason it looks like boxes is, Open GL doesn't show boolean objects, and everything looks like gray boxes,cylinders,etc.

Sounds like you have open GL selected, right panel/small frame-cube press & hold curser till sub menu appears, choose default wireframe.
