Thread: Hulk | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Ming, The pants are much more like the comic version. Needs some rips and tears, especially about the knees. The feet are looking bigger! The neck/shoulders need to be huge. Hulk's ears touch his (damn, I forgot what those muscles are called) muscles. It's hard to settle on what he looks like, as each artist has a distinct version. The current penciller Mike Deodato is doing a great job. I like his Hulk a lot. There is always the Standard - Jack Kirby! This thread is very important - we need a Monstrous Hulk-like capacity in our Poser-models. I intend to try the scale-up, scale-down technique. Looking at the comic, Hulk's fist is larger than his head.

I have made some progress with the shadow cams. They are selectable in the Camera list. I have found that if you rename your lights, the names of the shadow cams remain the same as they were, so if you have 3 lights, and you renamed them, then added a 4th, the new light would be Light1, and the sc light would be shadow cam 4. That little characteristic had me confused at first. This new knowledge is solving a nagging problem for me. I intend to experiment with these and master them. I never used them because I was under the false impression that they were for checking the lights' aim. thanks for the info - the more I know, the faster I progress! -fritz

Hi Valandar, You did a great job on that Hulk. Is there a way you could transfer the JP's from Massive to your Hulk. He really needs the huge hands and feet. I am totally weak in that area of Poser, so please excuse me if I am asking for the impossible.

My guess is that this particular zip file is corrupt. I noticed some comments on the scroller on the main page saying the same, plus my dl is corrupt. I was successful at getting a few other files, so it is not a systemic problem. There are some very useful items there.

Yes, I dl'ed it, and it is very good, except for the hands and feet, which are normal human proportioned. I tried to expand them by scaling, but it really messes up the joints. How can Hulk-scale hands and feet be made? I have seen it done by Konan with his Extrememorph3D program. He made a figure called Massive, which has huge hands, but is not really similar to Hulk. I know next to nothing about the Joint Parameters, but would guess that combining adjustments there with scaling, it may be possible to get this detail correct.

The body is Hulk-ish, but the one aspect everyone misses (it's a toughie in Poser, at least) is the enormously exaggerated hands and feet of the Hulk. I have been a Hulk fan since Marvel started, and that is one characteristic he always has. Nice work, other than that detail! I am anxious to see the movie! Also, Hulk's clothes are always VEERY tight. He expands into them, ripping and stretching, yet never bursting the crotch! Maybe a transmapped catsuit would work best for the pants.

I appreciate all the help. Someday I will have total control of these lights!
Thread: Shadow problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Nance, I will go over that entire process again. Using Poser for 3 years, and have never used or understood the Shadow-Cams. You have enlightened me (en-shadowed??) with some important knowledge. There is always so much more to learn. The lights in Poser are the toughest aspect of it, for me.

Nance, I tried the ShadowCam zoom change, with zero change in the shadow clipping. Another source of help said ECM (EMC?) conflicts could cause this. I was able to get a proper shadow by moving the LS closer to the model. Carolly, I was not too concerned about getting the science correct at this point. The shadow clipping was apparent with the LS where it was, so I rendered and posted. If I was finished with it, it would be in a gallery or delivered to the intended source. I may not even use that particular BG pic on the Cyc. thanks for the suggestions, -fritz
Thread: V2 to V3 upgrade questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is an INJ Pose creator available a DAZ. It is a Platinum Club item, and works as described. I have turned 90mb V3 files into 10mb files. Used correctly, V3 can be made into slimmer filesize than V1 or V2.
Thread: Why Koshini? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have no use for Koshini. It looks hideous to me. I love anime and hentai like LaBluGirl, but see no reason to attempt to mimic the styles with 3d artwork. It looks bad. It's a mockery. Influenced by anime is one thing, but mimicking it is another.
