I'll stick with my beloved Poser4 thank you very much. Everythime they try to fix bugs they ruin a good product that had nothing really wrong with it. No thanks I'll pass on these upgrades. Poser is mem hog as it is. ;)

If you don't want to get too fancy: I use Poser4 with Bryce5. Bryce 5 works very well with Poser. I have some sample images in my gallery as to how it looks when it's done. But if it's a graphics program you are lookin for Paintshop Pro maybe useful or Adobe's Photoshop. ;)

ahem, I import from Poser to Bryce. I dont see any laws against it. Why? Because Bryce renders better than Poser and it's a bigger screen and 90 percent of the users here do the same thing. Skies and landscapes are just boring. It's fun to import and to explore Bryce with Poser. ;)
Thread: Help I've lost my bryce file.......is there any way to get it back | Forum: Bryce
If you don't have any system tools in your start programs you can always try to download a free recovery program to recover lost files. or, try to defrag your machine and scan for error in windows only. you may have corrupted files in the background. if it's a zip file you are trying to open you may need to try another unzipping program to see if it will open. Try defragging your machine if you do not have a system restore function.

Do a system restore in windows go back to your last date saved and try to recover your file that way. Turn your virus scans off when you use Bryce & system restore. Try to go back one or two days to see if you can recover your file before it got corrupted. Then run your windows defragger & scan your system for errors or corrupted files. Defragging might help restore the file also. Do not run any programs in the background while doing a surface scan or defrag. This is what I do to recover lost files. A recovery should do the trick though.

99 dollars, that's it? kidding? Dam, that's just right in my price range. I usually get the leftovers from my buddieswho upgrade and I get the oldstuff but this sounds very reasonable as far as the price goes. Ahh, the life of a betatester!! ;)

I haven't tried DZ just yet. I'm still working my way around Poser4 & Bryce5. Actually, I find clothing to be the easy part of what I want to do. I'm still trying to figure out how to make a scene animate if its at all possible in Bryce5. And to top things off I had to close my homepage because the freebie had too many file restictions & wouldnt let me upload my files so I guess I'll be sticking to adding them here instead. ugh. ;)

PS: You have to keep conform the clothing in Posr before you export it as an .obj file into Bryce. It's hard to keep the cloths on the model but I have a sample of how I did it in my Renderosity gallery. You have to keep using the conform button in Poser and saving the file each time as the parent character. Conforming the cloths is a really big pain in Poser because some cloths are conformable and some aren't. And in Bryce you have to keeprendering the cloths and using the group, ungroup to get the cloths to stay on. Oh and you need the right "Vickie" clothing to make it stay on. Use Poser4 & Bryce5 like I do it's much easier to conform the clothing.

Thread: How Do You Make A Scene Animate In Bryce? | Forum: Bryce
ok thanks. I cant afford to pay for any other software tho. Bryce was given to me by a friend of mine who upgraded to another 3D program and I don't have a top of the line laptop with all the bells and whistles or the room to add anymore programs. I've been ungrouping the objects to get them to move around in the scene, seems to work. I'll just use movie maker for the aimation part.

Hello, am new here. What is so special about the HOT 20? Do you get a prize or somethig? I do this for fun myself and came here cos this looks like an awesome community. Voting always leads to cheating. And that is why I probably won't bother competing for top anything. Art is art no matter how you look at it. No point in getting upset over voting. Members will always work their friends into it and vote multiple times on the same images. I avoid voting at all costs. It always ends up the same people tend to get uppity very easily when one image gets the most votes for one reason or another. Honesty is hard to come by these days. Been there, done that. ;=)
My 2 cents worth. If there is cheating going on than it is up to the admins to stop it.

Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to create a storyboard 3D animation short in Bryce. I'm getting hooked on it. I'm just trying to do a little cartoon short. I have some image renders on my site. I haven't laced all the scenes together just yet. I'm trying to get my characters arms and legs to move in the scene. I posed my character model on my frontpage. Haven't rendered the animation just yet. Taking me hours just to do the storyboard! How can you make an armor a leg move? I'm guessing I have to ungroup the objects to do that??? thanks will checkout the links. My site is still brand new but am in the proces of making some freebies for it. I use XP also. ;)This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible.
