UVMapper does not make meshes. But it lets you put UV coordinates into a mesh you already have. Then you can apply textures to it in Poser.

Waves and Turbulence can be found in the index to the manual. (Turbulence is one of the dials you get with a wave.)

A mat file is a special type of pose file. It is type .PZ2 and lives where all the .PZ2 files live. To apply one, do it just like applying a pose. It IS a pose, except it doesn't change the position of the character, only her materials. As yet, though, you cannot SAVE a mat file by clicking on the (+) button in the pose library. Doing that will save the positions of the joints (a classic pose file).
