Thanks for all the great feedback!! IT really does help! Don't mind the wizard in the corner, he's just there because I was playing around with face shapes and the beard. James
Thread: Texture For A New Model | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What exactly do you need? A remap of the texture template, or the actual texturing? I can do both. Are you looking for a fantasy texture (yes I know it's a fantasy figure) or a more realistic approch? Also looks like it could use a good trans map for the mane and tail. James

Heheh LoboUK, That would nee a really good Posable beard. hint to anyone out there. Also a good Cowl. I have the hooded robe from Zygote, but it's just not good enough for a wizard. And I don't have the money for the posable robe on BBay (yet) James Thanks BTW for all the great feedback!

Thread: MAC user still needs HELP with UV Mapper...please, I beg you... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One small problem with UV Mapper is that it flips the UV . When you have the texture map open in a paint prog Just flip it on the vertical. Or when importing into Poser click on the flip "V". Note: do not use both! If you're not getting any mapping, well that I don't know. If UVM can read the file and export it, it should be UV mapped. Another trick is: Don't just import into UVM, and save. Select all and remap. (Or select each material and remap those) One more trick: Import the .obj/.3ds etc file into Poser first. then export the file (You may want to just select all except the Morph target checkbox (I also uncheck the Figure name box)) from poser and use that file to UVM with. Hope this helps. James
Thread: Extract an alpha channel? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
http://www.chezmark.com/ Has a lot of freeware and shareware programs that change weekly. It also has archives from many past weeks. I think I saw a few freebie paint programs there that might do the trick. MAC only, people. James

A little creative texturing, a bit of magnets, some tweaking with a few param dials.... Then bring them over to Bryce... James
Thread: Extract an alpha channel? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To answer your question. Just click on the chanels in the side menus, click on the alpha mask, (mask will be in the main window) select all. create a new PS doc, don't change anything, the NEW requester will have the dimentions of the copied mask. Paste into the new doc. Flatten and save. Hope this helps. Though I don't know if you have all these options in the LE version. James
Thread: Poser to Metastream? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I finally got MetaStream working when I got the "Patch" for MAC. I had tried it with Poser for PC, but ran into the problems above. First try to get the patch and see if that helps. Also, the exporter does not let you set any parameters. It just exports. So you need to go to MetaStreams home page and get all the info, and copy some params from their site too (using get page source). You need to sett all the nessassary prams in your HTML. Pull down menu on the page helps too. But what if there is no menu (this is a pram that can be turned off) Here is a link to a simple box MTS I did as a joke. MTS Link This shows how well the texture can get. Though not as crisp as an actual render, it's not bad for streaming over the net. MTS My Poser Box Hope this helps. James

Thread: Tolkien-esque inspired image | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks! Now I'll have to re-render the image with a fancier ring. We must keep true to Tolkien. I also am a True fan, I just need to re-read. It's been far to long. :( James
