They have another Grab Bag running, last time they had to turn off the repeat notification briefly to allow people to add the Grab Bag more than once. This is probably the same situation.

If you want to get updates directly from Adobe web sites, then yes you would want to (not have to) connect to the Internet, and in that case it would be your computer doing it, not Poser, so that it can get an installation package.

I am just going on what I have read on the forums. I am not able to access the internet at all with my old computer & I didn't think it would cope with Poser 8. I didn't realise the files where built in, so many people reported issues with the library system & it was suggested many times it was due to not having updated internet browser etc. My old computer doesn't even have IE, it is a Dell & the hard drive died & the guy that rebuilt it for me left a lot of stuff off. Funnily enough Poser 7 hasn't crashed once since it was repaired, runs nicely without all the useless crap on the system, but I am without some basics like a calculator, IE etc

My laptop doesn't like Poser much, although Poser 8 IS performing a little better lately since I added it to the DEP exemption list. I just thought the old Poser Pro might be an upgrade from 7 that my older computer would cope with, as I still prefer to do most of my work on that system.

Poser 8 & Poser Pro 2011 need some internet access, because you need an up to date flash etc to run the library, which is why I cannot run it on my old computer. I am just wondering if I would be able to run the old Poser Pro on that computer.

Any idea on when it is going to be fixed? I need to download something & cannot, cause it keeps timing out.

So if you ignore the over inflated visitor number, there is only about 550 - no wonder the site seems dead these days.
