I believe you can also adjust the production frame size by going into the render room and specifying the intended resolution for the final image. A couple of days I go I rendered some "widescreen" video -- when I changed the image output size from the default setting (640x480) to 350x100, this change was reflected in the PF in the assemble room. This method is probably not as reliable as Chuck's suggestion, but it may be worth trying out. Todd

Is the twist spline object something I have to add from the Carrara content CD or is it a behaviour (and not an object)? It does not appear in my browser tray. Mind you, I am using Car1.1 at the moment -- I do have Car3.x at home (I will check when I get home). Perhaps it is a default object in Car3? Thanks again :)

Thank you for the tips, Claudiomil and Falconperigot. I REALLY appreciate them. I had never thought about using anything other than the PE for the effect -- I really like your suggestion Falconperigot! Very cool! Using a spline object for a the effect will be easier to manage than a PE, especially since I am doing a looping animation. Thanks again, gents. You rule the pool. Isn't that ironic, all things considered? ;)

Thanks Dex! I will try your recipe... once I come out from under the sheets after seeing your spooky image! Now I'm going to have to look under the bed every night before sleeping! ;) (Cool images btw!) Todd

Thanks, everyone for your help. I really appreciate it! I will try each of the methods you have suggested. I agree with xantor's statue assessment -- but I am indeed going for the effect nomuse suggested. Thanks again, and have a smashing day!
Thread: Help! Animating Fire seamlessly in CS... the perennial question | Forum: Carrara
EMC! THANK YOU in the most king sized of fashions! I tried your suggestion and it works incredibly well. Thanks again... I reeeeeeeeeally am thrilled to be able to seamlessly loop fire, now. I've had a project on the backburner for way too long because of my initial lack of success -- now I can complete it and get on with some summer vacation action (well, psychologically at least)! Todd
Thread: Using Particle Emitter to create animated snow -- advice, pls! | Forum: Carrara
Hey Mark, I am honoured that you would try experimenting for me -- thanks a million! I too have been unsuccessful with successive attempts at making the particle emitter "put out", so to speak. Last night, I tried Infinity Textures. It really does a good job of creating looping textures. The alpha download that Litst suggested is quite fun to play with. I managed to create snow that almost loops properly; I figure if I twiddle a bit more with the setup I may successfully create a good loop. The full shareware version of IT2 is fully functional for 30 days, and has a snow preset that is pretty cool. Great tool for 2D stuff! Thanks and ciao for now... Boogeyman

Thread: Help (pretty-please)! RDS 5.5 Painter 3D plug-in error | Forum: Carrara
Hi again, It is not the plug-in that I am having problems with, it is actually the RDS interface's 3D paint tools. They are being very naughty... Again, any help would be super-appreciated. I may offer my first-born! Todd
