DONT PANIC!
It is the full version of ts3, and you can export various object files that can be exported into bryce 3 and up.
The xfrog/digit situation is this.
1.xfrog 3.02(free with digimag)could export to max/maya/etc, via plugins; and there are no plugins for bryce or truespace, etc.
2.The latest version of xfrog (3.5)will export meshes that can be imported into any 3d app' without the aid of plugins.
3.Any plants you make in xfrog 3.02 can be opened in the 30 day fully functional demo of 3.5, and then exported as meshes that can then be imported into bryce/etc.
4.Everyone who registered the 302 version they got with digit has been emailed the offer to upgrade to 3.5 for about a 75 discount on the normal upgrade price.
5.xfrog lite v. xfrog full.
xfrog 3.5 lite exports meshes only.
xfrog 3.5 full will also export plant animation, but only to max,maya,c4d not bryce.
hope this helps.

Strange, b5 does this on my win98 machine, but it doesn't lock up. As soon as I release the key, the dte pops back up and works normally...

Seems Corel have bigger problems than bryce to worry about at the moment. This is from Digit-Mag. ( http://www.digitmag.co.uk/ ) " Corel cuts 22 percent of workforce | November 07, 2002 By Todd R Weiss Corel is laying off 22 per cent of its workers to try to shore up the companys weak financial picture. The graphics-software maker said it is cutting about 220 employees to save some $12 million (around 8 million) annually in expenses. The company will retain about 769 employees worldwide. Corel said it will take a one-time charge of up to $6.3 million this quarter to pay for costs related to the layoffs. The move comes 14 months after the company spun off its Linux operating system business to start-up Xandros, so Corel could focus on its desktop productivity and graphics applications. The layoffs and related cost-cutting moves are being undertaken to help get the company positioned for profitability, according to Corel. Like many other companies, Corel has been hit by the slow economy and cutbacks in IT spending during the past two years. The staff reductions will come from all departments within the company. Corel has made a commitment to run the business profitably, regardless of the prevailing economic conditions, and the measures we have implemented today position us to achieve that goal, Derek Burney, president and CEO of Corel. He said that while the company expects revenue growth in fiscal 2003, it is adopting a conservative approach in aligning our cost structure to reflect the companys current revenue patterns. "

I've not upgraded to p5 yet, but this power of 2 thing with the textures doesn't supprise me. Think about where poser spent it's last few incarnations. Anyone who has used BRYCE a lot knows about this texture thing. It really shows up in the deep terrain editor, where if you use a 1000x1000 map to create a terrain you get 'pixelation' of the terrain surface, no matter what mesh resoloution you use, but use 1024x1024 for your map and all is well. Hmmmm.....

I'll second that, cacheman is the only really good mem manager for win98. The only other advantage to having more than 256mb in w98 is that you can have more than one memory hungry proggy running at one time.

I'm going to spend a lot more time here now, and start posting my pics here. It's a great place but I hated waiting 30-40 seconds for a page to load on ADSL! Well done!
Thread: Problem importing models from Celtic Cross 3D | Forum: Bryce
I'm guessing here but it's to do with dxf'file versions'.
Try this.
Export from knot as dxf, run it through crossroads
http://home.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/
export as 3ds then import into bryce.

While your at there site, http://www.armanisoft.ch make sure you also pick up 'Elefont'. This another excellent tool that makes 3d meshes of text that you can import into bryce. It has more features than the text tools found many bits of hi-end software!
