I don't know if it's a typo or not, but today's exclusive sales are listed as being from 9pm to 9am. 3d-age's store is listed as being on sale from 3am-6am.

Is that a joke? Do they really expect people to wake up in the middle of the night to buy something?

If this isn't a simple typo, this may be one of the worst things I've ever seen this website pull on customers. Exclusive sales in the middle of the freakin' night? Seriously? Why bother even putting things on sale to begin with?

The fact that you have to enter anything in when using Paypal is idiotic in and of itself. And every time I want to buy something via Paypal, I have to put something in each of the blank fields to trick it into going to the next page. I can't leave anything blank because it keeps telling me I have to fill in those blanks before it will continue...every single time I check out.

I'm using Firefox. I check the Paypal option and try to hit the submit button, but it won't let me until I put something in all the credit card fields. I can't delete what's in there because there's actually nothing in those fields. I get around it by putting something in all the fields, like putting just a number "1" in all the fields. Then it works and I can clilck the paypal button on the next page to pay the balance. Pretty stupid workaround for a bug that shouldn't be there in the first place. I was one of the folks that got my credit card info stolen last year. Luckily, I have a good bank that put a hold on the card the moment it happened and didn't lose any money.

I'll never use a credit card at this site again.

The Hot 20 did contain some very good work.  Unfortunately, there there was never any variety...nothing new.  No matter when you looked at that list, it was the same dozen or so people on there all the time.  It was simply a popularity contest and had absolutely nothing to do with great artwork.  If someone only looked to the Hot 20 to see good artwork, then they were missing a whole lot.

The Art Charts aren't much more of an improvement.  Yes, there are still some really good pieces of art that get on the lists, but the overall quality of images in the gallery (poser, in this case) has dropped considerably.  People (I won't call them artists because they'll never be that) just post one nude Vicky/Aiko after another with absolutely no substance or artistic merit to their images whatsoever...just because they know they'll make it on to the Art Charts.  I got news for these people:  a naked V3 with big boobs standing in front of a freebie wall with freebie textures and hair, staring blankly at the camera isn't art and it never will be.  I see these folks bragging left and right about how their images make the chart.  Congradulations at finding a way to appeal to the lowest common denominator of human intelligence in society!  I know I'll probably piss people off with my comments, but for crying out loud...please, knock it off with the crappy nudes already!  Try to make yourself better and let your creativity evolve...get off the ego trip and try to start making art with substance for once.

Personally, I'd like to see the Art Charts go the way of the Hot 20.  Maybe then, the overall quality of images will start to rise again.

If I do an image with nudity, it'll usually hit at least a hundred views in a matter of hours.  My non-nude images will be lucky to hit a hunred views after a week (don't even get me started on comments on nude vs. non-nude images).  If I do a string of boobie pics in a row, I'll usually get at least 1 person add me to their favorites.  I don't think I've ever had anyone add me as a favorite artist as a result of non-boobie pics.  Don't get me wrong...I have nothing against nudity in art.  I enjoy it from time to time.  But people who obviously render nothing but nudes because they know it'll get them views, comments, and recognized on the idiotic art charts...I can't really stand it.

That's just something you have to deal with at this website.  Renderosity isn't about art and substance...it's about how many nude images an "artist" can crank out. Unfortunately, Rendo has the largest viewer base out of several various digital art websites, so an artist has to put up with the BS or risk posting on websites where no one will see their work. 

It sucks, but that's the way it is.

So, can that error be fixed by the user, or is it something that can only be addressed on Rendo's end?

As an owner of the original Aiko 19, I'm just curious if there's any news about the update.  Playing the waiting game on this is starting to wear a little thin.

I see that Prog uploaded a new image just about 2 hours ago, and I still haven't gotten an ebot about it.

Maybe you folks should focus on that one particular artist since it's very obvious when ebots for his images don't go out.  Find out why his images specifically don't get ebots sent out and then apply that solution to everyone.

Hell, if you're gonna do the top 50, might as well go whole hog and let everyone see exactly where they rank.  Those kinds of stats could be put on the person's gallery summary page that only they can see.

Just to clarify my point about the credited merchants list...

Using my example, you'll see that Baron Vlad is ranked #21 (at least it was when last I looked).  That's pretty far up on the list.  But if someone were to click the link to his store, none of the products that people were crediting in their image would be there, since he no longer sells his items at this store. So, wouldn't that be a little unfair to other merchants to be outranked by a non-existent seller? It's also misleading for folks who see a product credited in an image and click on that merchant's store to see the item...only to find that there's nothing there.  Ranking merchants based on credits for items no longer sold here seems kind of pointless to me, since the whole purpose of credits is to encourage people to visit a merchant's store and possibly purchase that item. 

Interesting, but it sort of seems as if the "vote" button has just been replaced by the "add image" button.  I'll wait and see if it's just the same people at the top of the list all the time like it was with the Hot 20.

There does seem to be a flaw in the "Most Credited Merchant" list and how it's calculated.  For example, Baron Vlad no longer sells at Renderosity.  He kept one item in his store, I guess just to maintain the merchant status.  However, none of the items people credit are for sale here, so it sort of seems unfair to the other merchants on the list...being ranked lower than someone no longer here.  There may be other instances like that, but that was the one that jumped out at me.

And just some advice for you Rendo folks.  When someone brings up a problem, don't immediately go on the defensive and tell the end user that it's THEIR problem and something THEY need to fix.  The very first reply from a Rendo person on this topic wasn't "I'll check and see if something is wrong"...it was a response to push the problem back on the end user.  It happened with the resizing issue, it happened with the ebot issue...it's happened on just about every issue I've seen brought up since the conversion of the galleries.  Considering that this is a website where people spend money (sometimes, quite a bit of it), that kind of response is absolutely horrible.

It's not the problems with the site that make people mad.  It's the immediate attitude of "It's YOUR problem, not OURS" that makes it miserable.
