Hi Guys,
Some interesting info here.
I've got one for you to try re the sponge .
I found this accidently when I was working on a girls hair highlights last night when my hand threw a wobbly and the sponge went zipping across the blue sky. Hey whats this I said looking closer at the trail it left.....no more noise.
So I upped the size of the sponge and I did the whole sky, the result was amazing. So if you have large noisy surfaces like the sky used in the above photo give it a shot I'm sure you will be pleasently surprised. Before this I was using the Blur tool to do the same thing but the result was no way as good as the sponge. Oh yeah I tried it on an inside wall today and it worked again. Pity painting the house isn't that easy lol
Hey do I get a spotters fee for this ?? lol
Cheers
Peter
PS: Staff, maybe I should post this on another part of this forum??

I bought I Spyder v2 the other week cause I was having trouble getting consistant colours and it was driving me crazy.
I've done one calibration and schoo; is still out whether its improved the siuation. You have to be REAL patient work with those devices. I will probably have another go shortly, like any thing I suppose the more time you use it the better your supposed to get :-)
I'm glad those links helped.

Sounds like a great idea.
Including my old Olympus I've got a few others ranging from a mint Brownie to a Speed Graphic.
Haven't shot on film though for about three years.

Well if you haven't taken shots on film then you can't be photographers !!
Ha ha just joking I just came over from the discussion of the Photo Manipulation.
I amuses me that a lot of the old hands consider any thing done digitally is manipulation. But good grief even Adams worked his prints.

These links from my Bookmarks should help you out for awhile. I thought I had more but can't find them. Enjoy the read.

Ahhh yes quite a problem and a little embarrassing.
I've been asked by friends and rellies to shoot weddings (got to be the most stressful work a photographer can get involved in), the odd birthday, graduation etc and the same question always comes up "What do you charge?" Well they know I'm not going to charge $4000 + so I just tell them my costs only will be fine. Usually they insist on paying more and some times these 'discussions' can get a little heated lol.
I usually just tell them that the experience is enough but if they insist then how about a nice bottle of wine. The last one I did I received a 1 litre bottle of Wild Turkey Bourbon, gotta be happy with that :-).
If anyone other than rellies and friends asked I'd do a ring around to get quotes from Pro's then work out something decent for both parties.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!
Regards
Peter
