ok, about my beetle, his body is all vertex models and the antenea are splines with a bend modifier. The background is a shader I made same with the beetle's shell. No texture maps.

thanks ccp, i dled the trial and i think its a really difficult program to use. There too many tools... the camera moves around really fast too, i kept getting lost :). i dont think its somthing i need unless carrara users get a really nice offer.

I used the image as the background in my carrara scene i think carrara just puts it on a huge sphere that covers the entire scene so the image looks a bit distorted i suppose, anyways, theres no way i could fix that... What do you think about the light interactions on the glass? does that look real?
