Maybe someone should get Vue 4 stable before thinking about Vue 5? Ah... just me and my dreams of a perfect world.

Uhm... how big is that file? I do have some 15 gigs of download left this month on my homepage. I could store the file there if you want.

The alpha-channel of a max-render is only saved with certain formats. If you save in TIF-Format, the channel will be part of the file. Saving as JPEG, BMP or something similar will not transfer the Alphachannel. Joerg

By the way: A new graphics-card won't help much, since Photoshop uses plain old 8-bit-per-channel-RGB and a new graphics-card won't change much. If the graphics card would change your display, you would be in trouble as soon as anyone without this card got the picture...

Try adding a slight noise to the picture and than using gaussian blur. This should remove most of the bands. You could also try a horizontal motion blur. Joerg

When you are scaling for 3D-Studio Max, use a factor of 1000. This gives the best result. Joerg

Well, but Amapi does a good job and Milkshape gives very clean Wavefront-Object-Files if I remember right. That's all you need. You could also try OpenFX or Wings 3D - both doing a very good job with Wings being one of the easiest to use programms I have ever seen. While it is a Nendo-Clone, it is by far better than Nendo. OpenFX is potentially almost as powerful as 3D-Max, but you have to get used to it's interface. There is no programm in existence, that will give you completely posable clothing as an export. Conforming clothing is a hell of a lot of work. Joerg
Thread: Those lips... ugh... and the nose... oh god, the nose... (a rant) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey, I said nothing against the Roxanne-Package. On the contrary: I am working really hard and fast on the new Glacier-Mike-Outfit so I can trade it for something... My remark about those swollen lips wasn't coined at your image, but at all those no-nose-all-lips-vickies hanging around in temples, giving the camera a pouty look. I really like what I have seen from the Roxanne set. Joerg

Scuse me, Dalinise, but when the picture shows V2 on the far left, who are those beauties to her right?
Thread: Those lips... ugh... and the nose... oh god, the nose... (a rant) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@FishNose: Well, this started out as a rant. A rant by definition goes against something. In this case my rant went against all those tiny noses and swollen lips. Well, some people certainly seem to like those swollen lips and non-existant noses - I don't. I prefer women with more natural faces. Apart from that, I think that this representation of women is somewhat degrading, as we all know, what that pouty look and those huge lips are suggesting. But it is all just a rant. I won't tell anyone what to do, I just blew some steam... Joerg P.S. And I still think that Cleopatra had a very nice nose - not a non-existant one. And she was considered one of the most beautiful women of her time.

I have no problem with small noses - but I dislike these noses that are unnaturally small and look like some doctor dug really deep into the skull to get the nose that small. Most of these models look like this perverted beauty-idea brought to us by all those "Hollywood-Beauties": Get your nose-job with 17 - get your lips pumped up with 19 - get the rest of your nose removed at 21... In the end the models start looking as unnatural as Michael Jackson or as ugly as Pamela Anderson. Joerg

OK, she is extreme, but I really like characters like her much more than all those "fashion-models" JoergThread: DAZ Rep Hints at Gestapo Tactics - Deflects Questioning | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
We all did effictively argue your case. Even if creating a character is hard work, there is no excuse for using DAZs morphs to create this character. Creating morphtargets in most applications is easy. If you want to do a character, use your own morphtargets. If you use DAZs morphtargets, discussion is unnecessary: These morphs are copyrighted by DAZ and you may not use them for your files. Even if you remove everything but the v-lines, you still used their material, so removing those lines is no solution. What is so hard to accept in the sentence: Use your own material. As for DAZ watching characters in the marketplace closely: Well, I asked myself many times, where the big difference between this or that character and the basic DAZ-Character was. A small nosejob removing almost all nasal features and huge bloated lips tend to be all that is done with these characters. (Man, I am so sick of all those women without noses and those huge, blown-up lips that look like a bycicle-tire placed where the lips should be... yuck... How about some real women with real noses and real lips for a change?) It is high time that DAZ takes a look at all those "characters". People are asking as much as 30 Dollars for DAZs own morphs applied to form a "character" while real work like clothing, environment or textures come relatively cheap at around 20 Dollars. Joerg
