I am now calculating cloth simulations on a scene with five figures in it, all wearing dynamic clothes, and the waiting is frustrating. I am getting more dissatisfied with the look of conforming clothes, except perhaps for very tailored male clothing. I am interested to know what the requirements for the cloth or hair object are in your program: Must all seams be welded? How are buttons and other details handled? What about double layers?

If you have the Poser Toolbox (which has lots of other great functions), you could change the general shape with the Face Putty, and then refine with the morph brush as FVerbaas describes. If you are working with a mouse instead of the Intuos tablet, heep the magniture very low and work carefully.

In Blender, you need to be careful to import the head retaining the vertex order, and then again to retain the vertex order when you export. Very important.

In Blender you can use proportional editing or sculpting to shape the face. This requires more skill but gives you huge versatility and works very well indeed. You need to do some practicing with the sculpting. DO NOT use dynamic topology or add or delete any vertices. Just work with the vertices you have. A graphics table with stylus is helpful but not essential.

Another way to play with faces: Load your morphs into the head (Morphs++ or any other head morphs you  want to use). The usen the Poser morphing tool on the head. Have it on the Combine tab, not the create tab. Simply pull and push the face into the shape you want. You can turn the active morphs on and off as needed. This is an extremely powerful feature but many people seem unaware of it. The effect is similar to what you get in the face room, but you can use any morphs you own to achieve the face you want. Much faster and more efficient that dialling in the morphs.

The woman here is BVH's Cynthia, released a few years ago. The base figure was free, but I bought her morphs, very inexpensively. The girls are K4, purchased characters (both bought on sale). I made the dresses, the woman's shoes, the lace cloths and the tea set. The room is made with the PICK room creator items that come included with Poser - my textures. The furniture is from Poser World, where I have had a lifetime licence for a few years now. This is a book illustration but I had great fun doing it, using content I had and making what I needed.

I don't have a single favourite figure, it depends what I need for the figure I am working on. They all have pro's and cons, but here are some of them.

The Kids 4, Matt and Maddie: Very rewarding because there isn't a lot available for them, they are supported by PhilC with utilities, and straightforward to make content for.

Michelle: If you need to make trousers, her legs are nice and wide apart, that makes a lot of things easier. Also, she needs the clothes.

Poser 6 Jessi: The legs are a bit close together, but she looks good in a dress and PhilC supports her. I like her body.

The Poser Generation 2 ladies (Sydney, JessiG2, Olivia). One garment fits all three of them, so the effort is well invested.

That being said, I'll make clothes for any figure that I want to use. My choice is primarily determined by the availability of textures.

I'll make clothes for any male figure and I often have to, but tailored male clothing is a great deal more complicated and more work, and that is usually what is needed. So the males are not my favourite to create for, but I'll do it.

I'll be uploading my 200th free item to Renderosity free stuff within a few days.

I thought there would be male dolls for the ladies. Oh, well.
