I use it to select faces with the marquee tool and assign them to a group. Does the free version have that option?

With Poser closed, try finding ZClothing_MilMan_blSuitCoat.dat Delete it. Open Poser and try again.
Its a long shot but worth a try.
Also try opening the original coat's OBJ file in a text editor and see if you can find any anomalies. Usually in the form of bad characters, Chinese? I've seen them slip into the start of the "f" lines section.

Try checking the log, it may help give an indication. This might be in:- C:UsersPublicDocumentsPoser Pro 2012 ContentRuntimePythonposerScriptsPhilCWardrobe Wizard P9
or similar, or search PC for "ww.log"

Usually get this when a resource file has an anomaly in it. Could even just be a bad ascii character or line ending. Very difficult to track down. I'll be happy to look over it but I would need all the files which may be a problem because many of them are not allowed to be redistributed.

Suggest using Windows Explorer to look inside the zip to ensure that it contains the correct file structure. Then use Explorer to view the Downloads folder to ensure that all of the files have been correctly placed.

What location did you install to? The default is Downloads.
If "Downloads" do you have the Downloads library selected in the library pallet?
Or if another location is that location loaded and selected in the library pallet?
Also you may need to refresh the library pallet.
Thread: joint editor question | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
In the joint editor, top field click the down arrow on the left. Select "Center"
The editor will now display three fields; Center Point, End Point and Orientation. What you are asking for is covered by the orientation. Click in the xrot, yrot and zrot fiels to edit.
The "Align" button will align the center of the currently selected actor to the center of its child.
Fall Off Zones are applied by selecting the required joint in the top field then in the "Fall Off Zones" section click the "Add" button. Further options are given from there.
Hope this helps.
Thread: How to hide a single arm | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Go to the Poser menu: Window > Hierarchy Editor or use the shortcut Shift+Ctrl+E
Then Alt+Click on the eye icon adjacent to the required body part. This will hide that body part together with all of the body parts below it in the hierarchy.

Yes this is a stand alone short PZ2 file. You will need to include all of the actors you wish to hide/show using the format in the sample text. Any actor not defined by the PZ2 will be unaffected.
