I've got pre-order in! I've been messing around with Hexagon off and on and have used Carrara (also by Eovia) since v2.0. The $500 sticker price of Zbrush is just a little too high for me. So, I'm looking forward to it! I'm hoping also that the UV mapping functions (especially the "relax UV's") will be pan out to be something good.

Thread: Anyone using Poser 6 with Windows x64? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Understood. The test is really a two-parter: 1) Will P6 "behave" in XP64? 2) Intel vs AMD on Render times. I suspect that AMD will win! I just want to see by how much. Of course, the best way to do this would be using two systems which are more closely matched and both running XP64.

I am putting together an Athlon system (FX57 w/4 gig on an ASUS A8N32-SLI board) as I type this (drives are formatting right now). Against my better judgement, I have purchased XP64 (just couldn't wait for Vista but have another copy of XP Pro as a backup). So, I should know if it works soon! I'll post back here and let you know initial testing results. Edit: My benchmark will be to compare render times against a Pentium 4 3.0, 2 gig ram, and Asus P4C800E Deluxe Mobo.

Thread: Next question.....sorry, just one more on survey....Poser users | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My only use for P4 (don't have PPP) is to check backwards compatibility (sometimes) for models and props that I make. Only issue that frustrates me, like others who have posted here, is the bump mapping issue.
Thread: remember that software sale at daz? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh yeah. I'm a big fan of Carrara. I was able to pick up Carrara 3 for a song at Purplus Software a few years ago and then upgrade to v4 and then v5. It's the app that finally got me into creating my own models (although I mostly use Rhino now). I've found rendering times to be much quicker than Poser and at (usually) better quality.

Yup, just checked and I get the same thing. Seems as if they're still in the process of updating their site. Maybe they switched over to Bondware?

In the cloth room, maybe try using Edit Constrained Group. This will open up the Group Editor. Next select a few points on the shoulder area of the dress. Each point that you pick will be pinned in place. Hope this helps!

Maybe one of these could pass for a sea otter? I've not used this product, so I can't vouch for it.Thread: simple stud earrings for Vicki3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
