PLEASE hurry with this. The SR has crippled the rendering engine instead of making it better, and I can't get the quality and speed I had. I'm having to do everything with raytracing, and it's not as soft a look as I want.

I posted one in "Other Apps", but that doesn't seem appropriate. It'll definately be a heavy hitter in the future, so hopefully DAZ|Studio renders will get a forum of thier own!

Most MAT files work ok for me, but some don't. I've had some difficulty in getting full body morphs to appear on V3, even though they're in the individual parts. Some things work, and some are still evolving it seems...

I've had success with using most poses. Some haven't worked - expressions, MAT pose files, etc. I imagine in time they'll all work, but it looks like the nucleus of everything in Poser is there to be expanded on. -Jeff

The little doo-hickey in the camera box (see screen-cap). If they can put one of these in the light parameters, we'd be set for point-at. -Jeff

Ah - I found where you can point the camera at the currently selected object, which is good. I'm sure that will be incorporated into the lights in time.

I think you can right-click on the dials and set the number on the keyboard. I've got a rendering going in the background (pushing the size limits), so I can't verify it at the moment... -Jeff

Here's Alexa and Sara side-by-side. Sara is on the left and Alexa on the right. I gave them the same hairstyle for comparison. (Sara isn't textured.) Alexa looks a little more buxom to me, and they have different faces, IMHO. -Jeff

I think The Girl definately is the mother of a lot of the toon-sih characters we're seeing now. Goossens was begged by many people to convert her to a Poser-ready format - they were practically throwing credit cards at him - but he wanted to keep the character for his own projects. He posted a lot of detailed shots of the model, though, which could be used as a template for someone else to create something similar. It still hurts to see shots of The Girl, because as good as the others are, Goossens really worked a special kind of magic with her that's just a notch above, and we can't have her! -Jeff

I ran into the same problem this morning. I signed up for the monthly club plan, but suddenly I wasn't a member anymore. Somehow, I didn't have a billing address listed, but I was able to re-submit it from my account page and I'm back among the chosen ones now.

Looks like you did the same thing I had to do when using the Shadow Armor - added the free Billy-T boots without the upper portion! The armor is really cool, but it seems a little pointless to be running around barefooted. Shoes would have been a nice inclusion to the package, but for two bucks I guess we can work around it! Didn't think of dwarf scaling the armor, though - very cool! -Jeff
