WOW! Oops. I thought you wanted a lighting effect instead of lightning effect. Sorry about that. I hope it helps anyway.

Hmm, I like it so far. Maybe add some more texture to the sand and have some rocks dispersed all over the ocean bed. The plants in the background don't look to realistic, but do any of the bryce vegitation look realistic? I mean texture-wise? Hmm, maybe try checking out 3D Cafe (3dcafe.com) and see what kind of plants they have there. Those plants would be more realistic. Adam

There are two simple ways that I know of... First You could select an object that you want to have a neon effect on, click on the "m" to go to the Materials Lab. Here make the object's Diffusion and Abience the same color, and set both to 100. Now you have a neon object. Second You could also set the object to "Additive" which would give it a neon look, but it is also a bit transparent, which didn't help me much when I made my neon clock (in the bryce free stuff section just incase you want to check it out). Good luck! Adam

Go to "layer options" by clicking the little arrow in the upper right corner of the layers pallete. Make sure you selected a different layer other than the background, otherwise it will be disabled. Then change the mode to "screen" or "multiply". I don't know if it is different for the German version or not, but that's how I do it. =) . Adam

Let me first say that this is a great logo! Good work. I really like the changing color surounding the logo! Maybe since it is called "Iron Forum" you should have the logo look a bit more iron like...a bit more metallic. Have some of rust around the edges...but I'm not sure what that will look like. I like the weight you have in the middle of the logo which goes well with the name (obviously), but try making the weight silver. It would especially look good with a black background. Something about the bevel makes the logo look like leather. Am I the only one who sees that? Hmm...oh well. It is late in the day and I am beginning to see things. These are just my quick thoughts and it is, like I said, late in the day so I can't give much thought into it right now...but good work and good luck! Adam
Thread: Oversampling! | Forum: Photoshop
well, I saw your message in the Bryce Forum and I had no idea. But now I am guessing maybe it is for saving an image that takes up less megabytes. Just a guess. It doesn't sound like a good reason for having a whole different type of rendering, but it could be possible. Or maybe it is there so that you can watch your image render and be able to see shapes in the image as it renders away. Ok, now I am getting weird. It is too late in the day. Sorry that I can't help ya Good Luck -Adam

=( . Sorry bone! California is great. Especially living in the bay area. Never too cold and never too hot. Sorry about the life in Texas, Bone. Hope everything is well besides that. Hope you come back up here soon and see the beach again ! See you guys around, -Adam

Excellent work! The dock in the background should be a bit darker. I think the water movement around the dolphin looks great, but the boat splash could be a bit better. Try adding a LITTLE bit of noise around the edges to get some bubbles in there. Also, try playing around with some filters and maybe something cool might pop up which makes the splash look even more realistic. But I love what you did with the water around the dolphin. Looks great! Keep on Designing! -Adam

I can take a picture with my digital camera for you and send it to you if you want. The resolution is GREAT! Just tell me which National Geographic magazine and what page and I will take a picture of it. afanton@mindspring.com -Adam

Sorry it took me a while to respond. I never go to the VUE forum because I have a mac and they don't make mac versions (which pisses me off because I love the program). Thanks for the great tutorial! I will try it with Bryce4 and see what I get. Keep up the good work! -Adam
