At least 7 fairly large updates since it's release.

This is just my perspective here .... but since current "updates" are slowed down, it would be good to assume they are preparing work on the next version. Not an official announcement or anything near that, but it makes sense.
7 updates in over 30 months isn't exactly fast in the first place :) and definitely not too many. Well, I'll wait and see what will happen.

Thanks, I see it now. Took them 2 years to develop that? Not really hopeful.

Thread: E-on website? | Forum: Vue
Yes, it's clear, E-On is controlled by a major corporation these days..... whatever happened to the quick, semi-open, responsive team that used to be. Hope they can fix it all soon, hearing that my details have been up for grabs since 2013 isn't really comforting.
Our team is there for you..... sure, that motto was true in 2013 perhaps. These days the team seems to absent a lot and very little communication. Time to change that motto into something that's more true.
What's perhaps worse.... all communications I get from them sound like sales pitches, including this one. It's getting annoying.

I stopped entering that contest. Only the 'big' names win this contest and often it's even the same persons that win. Unless you are an absolute pro at Vue and have a power house setup that allows you to do very detailed and complex scenes, you don't stand a chance.

That should run Vue and Poser fine. I have a similar setup and they both run fine. The gtx 750 ti is a way better choice then onboard graphics, it's a lot faster. 16gb is nice to have and that cpy will render just fine and has the max amount of cores vue complete can access.

@TheBryster.... I do recall that you reported me a while back because I had a signature that linked to products outside of Rendo and now you're doing it yourself? Wow, just wow.
EDIT, just checked my sitemail and indeed you reported my to the staff for having an external sales link and I was forced to remove it. Well they actually changed the TOS so that I had to remove it. Rendo is a childish place and very partial.... I can't have such a link, but a mod can. Your link is agains the TOS and once again I'm baffled at the hypocrisy in this place.

Thread: Is Vue good for Architecture? | Forum: Vue
First advice..... do research. Second advice, do a lot of research. I've seen Vue used by an architect not too far from my town. But..... yes with Vue there always is a huge but..... importing models into Vue can be tricky, cause trouble or even worse. Vue still has broken import features, so unless you know what you're doing, you could be facing issues.
E-Onsoftware also has a different software geared more towards this kind of thing, LumenRT, http://www.e-onsoftware.com/products/lumenRT/
What do you need? A lot of cash. If you want to go this route, you need Vue Infinite to make sure you can communicate well with other 3D software. Then you need 2 computers, one for rendering and one for working, so you can keep on working. Better is a laptop that you can take to your clients and show them your work and one you can also do the initial work on, so it needs to be able to run Vue decently. Then you need a good computer for rendering, at least an i7 with 4 cores, but more cores is better.
I'd say your looking at $4000-5000 minimum. It is very feasible, but you need to know what you're doing. You need to know Vue inside out, know the market, know how to make contacts, set up a business (or know how to freelance), marketing & promotion, set up a professional website, accounting and so on. You can't turn up at an architectical office with some ideas, you need a plan before you go there. More importantly you need a portfolio and marketing materials that show your clients that you know what you're talking about.
in other words..... if you want this, there's a lot of work to be done. Before you can even approach one client, you need to invest a lot of money into equipment & training and have your plan and portfolio ready. That alone takes months.
So, again, do research and start by downloading Vue pioneer and see if you can even get some good work done with it. That's a start.

We've got a new VS now..... everyone can afford Bryce vs no one can afford Vue :) Aside from that, Bryce loses on every count and pretty much is abandonware.... shame, since it was at least affordable.

Thread: Vue2016 Your Opinion? | Forum: Vue
I've just looked at all the features and I wonder why people would even spent top dollar for this. About 20 really new things and most of them are mere improvements. Disappointing. Good thing is I've got money put aside left for something else now. I held off getting 2015, but 2016 is no buy either. Not even the 2 combined could be worth a new version number..... it really looks like 2016 is really 2014.5. Sorry E-On, if you want me to spent all that kind of money you better start deliver. You became quite 'lazy' as soon as you introduced the maintenance plans. Glad I never fell for those, they only warrant mediocre releases. I'll keep on using my good old Vue 2014 and say goodbye E-On, your new versions add nothing that interests me..... or I would want to pay so much money for.

Thread: 30% Sale on Vue2015 and the next version for free :) | Forum: Vue
It's still on sale, but what will the new version have? We know it has a hybrid gpu/cpu render engine, but very little info is given. Too vague for me to make a well informed decision on. Will it be available for every Vue version? What kind of GPU will you need to effectively use this? How much will it improve rendering times? Is it always hybrid or can you use it 100% GPU as well?
