"I did a shot of my vertical smile hidden with M&M’s"
Eh? My brain crashed trying to work that image out _
Following on from cynlee said - I think a lot of the TOS stuff is there to cover Rosity against every eventuality. Considering how quickly things can end up in court over the smallest thing I'm not too surprised.
Hi Margana, the word 'suggestive' is probably what caught you out - its a huge grey area that can be translated/argued almost anyway you want to suit your situation. Try defining suggestive - different people will have different limits on what that means.
Veering OT quite a bit.
Thread: Cararra Export to Poser? | Forum: Carrara
I don't think Poser can import rigging information from other 3D software anyway. As Patrick says, you have to create objects in other software for importing into Poser and rig it in the Setup room (in Poser) to use it as posable figure.
I'm not 100% certain on this, but I can't see any options for what you want in Poser 6.

Sharp ConstructThread: The Debate | Forum: Photography
This debate is as old as Rosity itself, although it usually occurs over in the Poser forum/gallery, & it can get quite nasty over there too (good entertainment if you've got nothing better to do).
Actually, regarding the viewing, but not commenting I do agree with has been posted somewhere in these forums before. Something along the lines of: how many times does an image need the same compliment underneath it?
I'll comment if I see an image early enough or if there is something specific that I really like. I often vote as well, but don't say so. It would be good if there was an extra button on an image page that would add your name to a list of people who like the image - sort of like the 'Favourite Image button, but without adding the image to your homepage (or I'd have nothing else, but images I like).
Thread: Poser file keeps crashing vue at render | Forum: Carrara
Crashing Vue?
You don't say how many figures are you using, but at 350mb it's going to be an awkward file anyway. And does the file render without Toon Pro?
If it is Toon Pro causing the problems email Eric Winemiller at:
ewinemiller@digitalcarversguild.com
Eric has always been helpful when I've emailed him with any DCG plug-in crashes or problems.
Or, can you render your image out in groups or layers (foreground, middle, background)?
And then using the alpha channel options and masks for photoshop files put it all together in an image editor like photoshop, paint shop pro, gimp etc. I did that in my last Carrara image (Canyon Racers) . That approach reduces the strain on rendering and speeds up render times too.Thats the only thing I can think of.
Thread: So you're a sculptor. Why do you not like painters? | Forum: Carrara
If you are referring to whats going on here at the moment - its just bad timing. Not too many of us are happy with the whole surprise of DAZ buying Eovia out of nowhere, I know I'm not, but I'll wait for a bit and see what happens.
If you are referring to generally, this is a debate that has gone on for ages, and there are valid arguements on both sides of this issue. But I do think its 2 very different groups arguing an issue that doesn't really affect either side - the consumer artist/hobbyist isn't going to steal anyones job at Pixar. The hardcore modeller/texture artist /animator doesn't use DazStudio/Poser/whatever, so its nothing to do with them anyway. A lot of it is perception as well - the topic "Why isn't CG accpeted as art?" comes up every so often over at cgtalk.com and some people think that Poser and its mythical Make Art button cheapens the hours/weeks/months they put into creating everything themselves.
In all honesty I'd suggest staying out of it, that's what I do. Just make your images and enjoy the whole process from set up to final image. If other people like your stuff as well that's just a bonus.
You've put 30 years into graphic design (I've only put 8 in so far) wasn't it like this when the Mac, Photoshop, Quark Xpress etc. came along?
I've met a couple of older designers who sneer at us now for not being able to do too much away from a computer - it's a similar arguement.

Thread: OT kinda, worlds most beautiful landscape? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
From my own experience I can recommend looking for pictures of South Africa as a good place to start - coastal Cape province or the Drakensberg mountains in Transvaal. The Mediterranean region also has some fantastic scenery. And further north from there the Alps mountain range.
Have a look in the photography gallery here - you'll find some great landscape/scenic photos to get you going.

Thread: Nintendo character models? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Don't expect too much - Nintendo can be very protective over their characters/copyrights etc. They have, in the past, shut down fan sites that do nothing but praise Nintendo. However, I did find this with a quick search in google: http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm/FuseAction/ProcessSearch/istSearchKey/nintendo It's mostly consoles, but there are a few free characters & a few more not free.
Thread: out of ideas, need some input :P | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This isn't so much a specific idea/theme, but more of a general approach to creative block: What haven't you done yet, but want to try? A different type of project/image that stretches your creativity in a new way might kickstart your imagination. It might also lead to new ways of working with the type of images you usually create.

Thread: Problems Making Poser Meshes with Wings 3D | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know if this is useful to you - materials assigned to a model in Wings3d show up in poser correctly. Would that help? I'm in the process of creating something for poser so I'd like to know myself. Although I think I'l be starting with dynamic clothing and smart props before going anywhere near complete characters.
Thread: Where to get some good hdri files? | Forum: Carrara
Hi Mark, which ones are the polar hdri files? I've always used what HDRShop calls "Longitude/Latitude" or panorama type, available at the lightworks-user.com site (looks like a regular photo). I convert any other hdri files in HDRShop using: Image->Panorama->Panoramic Transformations The manual says Carrara hdr files should "completely fill the rectangle of the image" which is what I've always gone by. Thanks
