Thread: Where to download the Poser 8 manual? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the replies. I will wait for the demo or maybe take Smith Micro on their 30-day satisfaction guarantee. In the meantime I will start a new thread with several questions that I have about this new release.

Thread: Bug or glitch? Can't rotate camera, move limbs, etc. in P7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Although I do not have Poser 7 a similar problem happens In Poser 6. This is resolved by pressing the space bar while this occurs. Seems that Poser is waiting for a keyboard input and locks the view controls. This may be related to a control focus bug.
good luck,

Thread: Better Render Software | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

For those interested in Kerkythea I am working on PoseRay to export models directly to it. To get the download link to the beta version of PoseRay with KT export just go to the KT forums at the following thread:http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7145&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
the link to the beta is on page 2 of the thread.
I will make an official announcement later when it is more polished. This gives Poser an extra render path. It also works with any model that PoseRay can read.
good luck,

Thread: Question about screen size and Poser figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Screen size should not matter. Geometry should have the same proportions with any screen size or aspect ratio. If your image is stretching then something is mis-configured on your video settings. Make sure you are not using a 4:3 resolution or scaling on a wide screen and vice-versa.

Thread: I asked, they answered, we're wondering... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
At least in Windows, Poser does not sort alphabetically but using other criteria, maybe ASCII order. The folders with lower case names show up at the bottom of the list. It is an annoying bug.

Check the attached link.Although it has many game benchmarks it should give you an idea of the relative performance gain among cards.

Thread: Antonia - Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nice model. Since you want people to work on it why don't you put it up on a site, setup a version control system and make people submit changes. That way you do not have to individually keep track of everyone doing work on the model.
good luck,

Thread: Bathrobe or similar for V4? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Search for SVDL's Dynamic Kimono in the free section. It can easily pass for a bath robe. Being dynamic it can be used with most figures.
good luck.

Thread: Vector Export? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Inkscape uses Python to call the manual. The documentation is on their site.
To trace an image just load a bitmap, select it and go to Path -> Trace bitmap. Use multiple scans with colors. Press update to get a preview of how the image will look and OK to create a new object with the traces. It will be placed on top of the original bitmap so you may want to move it to the side if you want to compare to other traces. Make sure that the bitmap is selected before tracing. Increase the scans number until you are satisfied with the results.Â
good luck
