AmbientShade, been a vapor since May 5th 2014, 3 pack habit previous. Started at 36mg, for 4 weeks, then 24mg until Jan 1. Now down to 11 mg. Fly a lot long distance (10 to 13 hour flights back and forth across the Pacific) and I think I am just about ready to park the pen and give up completely. Target is May 5th 2015. Good luck. Tried a zillion times to quit with various methods and I think this is going to work for me.
Like Sam mentioned don't ever start. Wish I never did.

Thread: What's your Story. How'd you get into using Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For years I helped a series of friends edit and or clean up their online single pane comics in PhotoShop. Over time their comics became more complex and colorful and lead me to the Akvis plugins for PS. One person in the group could come up with the most humorous comics but couldn't draw for shit, like me. Via a akvis forums I visited on and off I stumbled across the first version of Studio and recommended it to this guy to help him at least create a human form to trace over in his comics. Vicki, recall was 2.0 at the time. Neither of us could figure out the interface of Studio and it crashed none stop so we gave up. Shortly after that the same guy started writing what I will call semi-sexual based short stories and asked me to create the covers and other illustrations from scratch myself using Studio. He just wanted to concentrate in writing and not the drawing side and told me Studio was better and give it another try. Which I did to no success. . But in the Daz forums I learned about Poser and Renderosity. Purchased P6 and V3 was the dominate character at the time and been a Poser user and mainly Renderosity content customer ever since and now create scenes-rendered images for several of the original group who have also transitioned to short stories from single pane comics. Lately my job requires me to travel for long periods of time, and have actually tried writing myself since I can't always bring my runtimes with me. Nothing worth publishing yet as nothing is close to being finished.

I like to keep things separate (categorized) so I can find them in a hurry and have over 100 runtimes, no issues.

Thread: The birth of Roxie. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, the rumor I heard from eclark about the birth of Roxie was the result of Simon G2 and Sydney G2 having unprotected sex. Not 5 Miki 4.0's on unicycles!
Learn something new about Poser everyday.......I guess

How to get your juices flowing
Pitcher of Prune Juice in a characters hand, pouring the Prune Juice into a glass.
Then the next render is drinking the Prune Juice....and the last render is just waiting around for things to start flowing

Thread: Staying healthy while we push pixels. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When I am home which is not a lot lately, the coffee pot is on one end of the house and the computer on the other. At work the distance from my desk is about the same. I drink a lot of coffee and bet I walk a couple of miles a day back and forth. Then as a reuslt of drinking all that coffee have to get up and do a Snarley and go up and down a set of stairs at home to wee at lot, which is just more exercise.
Been trying to figure out for years how to get Vicki to come hang with me by the lap pool so we can, errr, ahh, ummm, exercise together. But so far all attempts have failed so I don't swim as much as I used to or should.

Thread: Dumb question of the day, default material selection in the Mat Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - You can add a material order list to an obj file.
Poser sorts material based on order of appearance in the file, or the list that defines the order.
At the beginning of the obj, add a use mtl list.
usemtl brows
usemtl corneaLeft
usemtl corneaRight
etc...
Example is from Antonia~WM, obviously the names are different for V4
If you have Antonia~WM look at the obj file in a text editor
Yes have Antonia-1.2WM.obj file and see exactly what you are referencing at the top of the file. Will give it a go and report back after a long render I have running finishes :)

Thread: Dumb question of the day, default material selection in the Mat Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - In turn, 4_InnerMouth is first in the CR2 because that material is the first one defined in the V4 geometry file.
Similar questions have been asked before, and the only sure way seems to be to re-order the usemtl blocks in the OBJ file*. Just editing the CR2 seems not to be enough.
EB I can confirm editing the CR2 like I just tried is not enough.
as far as why Daz modeled the mouth first, I assume the rumor that the person who did it claims they don't kiss and tell is true (of course you would think lips would be first then )

Thread: Dumb question of the day, default material selection in the Mat Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
At work now and will look at that in a couple of hours.
Duh, I was looking for something like how you can set the default body part picked on load or turn IK on and off, or like in a prop set the parent, etc. Like a parameter that was labled what the default material selected was. Duh, should have looked at the order of the materials are listed. Like I said I can be as dumb as a rock at times.Totally obvious after your mentioned it that that is probably how it works.
thanks
