that's what amazes me about problem solving on these poser forums, its much the same as the runtime forum where you ask a question and you get either no answer or somebody points you to another thread, which gives you the answer but does not show you how you get to resolving the problem. So I guess everyone has to solve there own problems lol But seriously AmethystPendant how did you find your solution of using an editor to rectify your problem and what part of that code made it happen, I ask as I would like to delve into the base coding of a figure to resolve any issues I may have, like did you go to another website to find out?

I had this problem with upgrading from poser 11 to Pro 11 and believe it or not is was because I was pasting the code from their email into the registration - you need to key it in making sure all 'o' are 0 - Also try using the details in your poser 2012 as previous serial if required not saying this is your problem but it was for me as poser 2012 references are carried over if you keep preferences from previous one ie 2012

QUESTION for Willdial or Lululee? Once I have Saved the Original DSON Imported Cr2 with a new name, such as Victoria Upd, Do I Need To Keep the Original Cr2 file that was Imported into Poser? It hasn't had the Genesis3PoserUpdater "Applied to it". So it obviously isn't going to work properly in PoserPro 11

ok I've just about given up on getting Gf3 into poser I've tried Lululee's way but have a massive Daz3d folder and will take over 10 hours to get it into a folder with poser and considering daz3d only works from the daz3d installation folder I am at a loss as to which way it is supposed to be is it Daz3d folder then add poser or other way round OR JUST A SEPERATE RUNTIME???????? Ok now to the original way and reason for this thread HOW DO YOU FIND THE Genesis3PoserUpdater PROGRAM THERE IS NOTHING ANYWHERE THAT TELLS YOU WHERE IT IS????? I'm sorry for the capital letters but no one seems to ever have a reply to any problems on this forum its like someone asks and then miraculously they have made it work, without anyone replying to the question??

For $38 USD the GENX2 Plugin can transfer ones favorite V4 Faces& shapes to the G1 or G2 female and with UV switching all existing V4 Skin maps are usable with G1-G2 I have completely recreated V4 & V3 legacy characters as G2 figures using this Plugin.

Not sure where you are getting this "24 hour "render time perhaps with your hardware config but there are people who have invested in proper NVDIA capable graphic cards who are not waiting "24 hours" for Iray renders but the same holds true for Octane or Reality/LUX users ..........its all about the hardware

Yes for a poser user V4/V4WM is still the superior figure to all of the other efforts by Smith Micro and other third parties ,but I suspect "Project E" may soon Dethrone the poser Queen.

Hi Wolf thanks for the reply -

1. I only ever used Daz to DSON over clothing fitted to poser for GF2 and have to say that anything GF2 or GM2 looks low key as opposed to textures for V4 etc and I find the actual figures to be great on muscular attributes, but doll like on facial and hand details just not realistic - I can't say how GF3 looks as I use ProDev 2014, Poser 11 when I did buy it was a mess the library did not work and it crashed every 2 mins (got a refund for this btw)
2. The 24 hour render comment was just being sarcastic as compared to a render in poser it is way too long and when I did take a good look at Daz as I have a good Nvidia card I resulted to using 3Delight as it was quicker and a lot easier to set up - Yeah I can see the results using Iray are quality, but I would imagine Daz's pictures are heavily photoshoped and probably take a long time to render - but in truth I prefer Firefly it is fast and delivers quality renders too, unless you are doing close up's of hair and have a lot of metallic reflections then your in for a wait (also word of note to anyone who has found that skin looks blocky- turn off reflections)
3. Oh yes I cannot wait for E Project from what I have seen so far looks immense - I am guessing that the clothing system that will be employed for her will be similar to the Weigh Mapped V4 script [ http://www.runtimedna.com/Outfitter.html ]

Just a final word I am not trying to make this thread a daz v poser one, I have bought poser since 7 to pro dev I just want vendors to realise that v4 is very much alive and combines both software users unlike GF3

I have to say V4 is the way to go for Poser users, she has her faults but she has and still does render superbly, it is no wonder vendors still make skins for her as her facial features IMHO beat anything G3 G2 G1 have ever been able to do - I have used G2 a lot and apart from her more perfected stomach morphs she looks like she's undergone severe plastic surgery, I also have not seen a realistic skin and facial looking G3 either, sure Daz show you how amazing she renders and if I used Daz then I would be prepared to wait 24 hours for a render as amazing as they make her in there pics, I prefer Poser so V4 is still the girl for me! Oh I do agree with you she sure looks good, but she was created to work in daz3d software not in Poser I've tried daz3d endless times but cannot wait over 30 mins for a semi decent render, firefly delivers a good render in under 2mins as long as there are not too many reflections and close ups on hair. If I was creating single frame art then I no doubt would abandon poser and use daz3d but I use poser for full scenes with up to 5 v4 figures (G1 and G2 slows down the workflow but at least it works in poser) and multiple frame building which you cannot do in daz3d (I must stress I have not had the patience to find out if daz3d allows you to build a 1000 frame scene?)

How is this possible I looked on google but could only find info on how v4 clothing can fit to G3?

I use V4 with VaVaVaVoom and BadaBing and magnetize the clothing using Scene Toy and with additional morphs like NGM etc that can be transferred to clothing using 'Copy Morphs From' --- I truly hope Poser does not go away as it is a superb and smooth to work with, however, I am as my thread suggests mystified and concerned at the lack of actual poser content and when I say poser content I have to say V4 M4 as this was so well supported in the past - I used to be Platinum Member at Daz until they never made anything for poser and I am a Prime Member here, but it is slowly becoming like Daz3d with the deals on offer only being of use to things you can get for G3 Gm3 poses & clothing, albeit a few scenes and props that are poser friendly.

Actually, Genesis 3 content is very popular. Vendors make for what sells. Besides all that, we are not primarily a Poser content site. We cater to both. You can also get Genesis 3 content to work in Poser. See this tool HERE. it does not work in 2014 your page mentions only 2011? Thanks for the reply I can see a small amount of v4 content being created, but 90% of the stuff is G3, which I find baffling considering there is around 70% of poser users here who cannot use her in poser? I have Daz3d but without going into a which is best debate, I find it is poor for posing figures and rendering good quality scenes in under 2 mins, Perhaps it is the end of poser, which I find very sad as daz is basically trying to get people to use their software only :(

you can turn off saving to external binary morphs in general preferences under misc tab

She sent us all a nice clean empty email to save and hold treasure...

So it was a mistake and be asure Ro staff have more then enough work not to waste time in sending us empty emails on purpose..

Thanks BAR CODE I did have a look at the forum to see if it had been mentioned but could not find anything (was a brief look) it's just that i read a few messages about RO being hacked and wondered if this might have been someone not connected to RO trying to run a macro on a txt file!
