Ahhh, you may have something there. My C drive is a small 20 gig that has only my OS and system files on it. I only have about 5 gig free. Thanks for pointing this out.

XP caps at 3GB of RAM, and uses the remaining RAM for it's own uses. So while you can physically have 4 GB in your case, only 3 GB will show up on your system.

I'm thinking it has to do with too many figures being in the picture. But I'd still like to know what a good adaption threshold is.
And yeah, it's been rebooted a couple times.

Yeah, really. Why not just list the links on a webpage of forum post rather than force us to load an unnecessary toolbar onto our system?

I think you could tell from the questions what they are thinking about doing for the next Poser release, and this was thier way of asking the users how well they would be recieved. I think that's great, and what an awesome way to run a company, asking the customer what they want before making the product.
I did have an issue with the demographic details though. Shouldn't they be focusing on what ALL Poser users want, instead of dividing us up into male and female, rich and poor... I mean, are they going to to drop a feature because only 22% of girls under 20 liked it? I know that's how marketing works, but does anyone else find that bizarre? And what's with asking us our income? How does that define us as a poser user? I always lie and put in the lowest option on that question for I feel what they're really asking is, "how much can we charge you?"

Quote - There are a few improvements that the survey didn't cover:
- Fix the reversed normals issue. It wasn't a problem in Poser 4. It's frustrating that the problem remains three versions after creating it.
- Realistic lights. It's frustrating having lights that don't act like real lights. I've had times where adding a light darkens an image and when moving lights had the opposite of the intended effect.
- Better selecting. I've never understood why I can click on something large in the foreground and wind up selecting a small object, that cannot be seen, in the background.
What they said ^

Quote - Does this still happen if you reboot the computer? Sometimes a reload of Poser is not enough....a complete shutdown is necessary.
That's all I can think of.
That's a bit disturbing. Restarting your computer before loading each prop...

- Increasing the render threads to match the number of cores was a big help.
Interesting? How does one go about doing that?

Got it. What I had to do was leave everything in the P7 folder and replace the PP collections folder with a copy of the P7 collections folder.

Never thought about that. They're pointing to the Poser 7 folder, not the Poser Pro folder.
Duh
Thanks

It's only a shortcut and a pic. Don't understand why it would be a problem.
I spent days getting my collections in just teh orde ri want, and don't really want to have to go through that again.

Quote - > Quote - I had no problem downloading it from S M, but if your read the info, it only works on a fresh install of P7. I am not reinstalling all that content I have so I guess I'll wait until my next major reformat.
Poser 7 SR3 does not require re-installing from scratch. While doing so is recommended if you are experiencing difficulties with your installation that can't be resolved by discarding preferences, in most of all cases installing over an existing installation works just fine. Even if you have to re-install the application, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to re-install all 3rd party content.
Last time I reinstalled P7 it overwrote my entire library (deleting all previous content) half the geomotries and many of the textures.
