Stacey has the right idea. Select several levels of detail and zoom from one model of preliminary details to a more detailed model and progress through each level. Zoom scenes as you described are usually pieced together from several clips with transition point like going through clouds.

Thank you for your reply. I have experimented with the fire object and have accomplished a test render I am using on my movie. Callisto, as in the Xena based character. The movie is posted on the following newsgroup for those interested: alt.binaries.multimedia.xena-herc 7 Meg movie, did little compression, wanted the details. Thank You

Impressive image. But you do realize that in the render wars forum, the hobbits are being slaughtered by THEE ALLIANCE. You could render more fighting images for the render wars forum. After all, a sworn declaration of war is out on tolkien/hobbits.

yes i have seen this before. it is a result of the interpolation of movements. what i do is try to isolate the "frame" where the flutter appears and adjust the associated joints. An example was a top that flutterred at the shoulder. I stepped through the frames until i saw the "flutter". At that frame i adjusted the shoulder and coller joints on the top or you can re-conform the top at this point. I fit is a body joint then you will have to adjust the "flutter" joint a few degrees. Be warned that this may result in another flutter somewhere along the animation.

I use magnets for cheeks myself. An excellent choice of character. The fuller the Xena-verse, the better. Ya got to love the alt.binaries.multimedia.xena-herc newsgroup for pictures. I would suggest you find some good sneer morphs for later (you'll need them). (You ever noticed that you never see Amarice and Cleopatra 2525 in the same room together?)

The solution I hear most about is to use a Maxtor G400 32MB Dual Head card. Be sure its a "DUAL HEAD" card. This one card has connectors for two monitors on it. The whole splitting of video is done primarily by the card. The one card solution by-passes conflict problems with two cards. As for using two cards of the same manufacture, I suggest scanning the manufacturer web site and contacting tech support. By the way, Maxtor card will be in excess of $150.00 US.

Thanks for joining the fray. I wasn't expecting anyone other then Redsonia to answer the challenge so I'm happy to see another's work. As for the short time period, Redsonia and I challenged one another in late June/early July. I will be more open with the challenges in the future. I suspect a challenge on the Aphrodite character is on its way, so you can start now if interested. The rules will be the same for both challenges. Good Work. (The hardest part of these challenges is the need to stare for hours at large numbers of photos of these actresses, NOT!)
