If V5 isn't compatable with Poser, that's fine with me, easthetically I just don't like Vicky at all. She's out of porportion and even though the SM figures aren't perfect, I prefer them waaaaaay more than anything else, Miki2 being my favorite. Besides, I know it may sound strange, but they feel more "real" to me since they're anatomically complete unlike the DAZ models. Anything I want from the Vicky line I convert using Wardrobe Wizard, Texture Converter and the Hair convertion kits so I'm all set on whatever I need, without needing Vicky.
It's a shame that Miki3 was such a dud, but there were a lot of really strange things about her that become glaringly apparent when you use her. Just using the "sit" dial makes some of the polygons on her upper butt go all wacky. How did that get out of QA? Hopefully whatever the new reiteration of Poser is, the new models included are using the latest tech to improve on bending and mimicing real human physics. I can still dream of soft body physics, can't I? :P

AFAIK Xstream shouldn't need anything extra to import Poser scenes and props. Just make sure you set the directory where Poser is located first.
Thread: VSS Skin Test - Opinions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Disabling the hardware shading fixed it! Thanks.
I wonder why it does that... might it have something to do with the No_Map I occasionally get when I load the VSS prop?

Sweet, I'll have to play around with the paremeters and see what I prefer visual, but so far the default settings seem to look great without need of adjusting.
As for the script, it still needs to be run before I actually see any VSS changes, correct? The reason I'm asking is because it still turns the model completely white and what I've been doing is saving the files before I run the "syncronize" script so if I need to adjust anything before I lose the characters textures, I can see the effects my changes have in the preview.

This isn't exactly for this thread, it's for the Soft Studio light thread but I didn't want to bump something that hasn't had a post in four months.
The VSS3 prop that's included in the soft light scene, I still need to use the VSS script to "syncronize" it with the model? Is it any different than the VSS3 I've been using from this thread?

I really like the results I get with VSS3 even though I occasinally get that NO_MAP thing when I apply it and the figures turn completely white afterwards in the preview. It's worth the strange preview stuff if my renders looks good to me.
Thread: How Many Threads for Rendering are Possible with P8 or P Pro? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have P8 set for 3 threads and whenever it renders, it's always at 75 - 78% usage which gives me a bit of room to play games or listen to music without any hitches on my Xeon quad core. :D
Thread: OT: So everybody wants LUX so why Poser/DAZ stop including their renderrs and lo | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This first time I heard of lux was two days ago when I noticed the sticky on this forum. Some of the work looks really good but I like the ff renders I get in Poser 8. If I don't like what I'm getting, I just import into Vue 8 and I'm usually happy with the results.
Thread: Do all male poser users Want to make Sexy Stuff with Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah I'll make "sexy stuff" occasionally, but I'm more concerned with trying to make every day people in every day situations. You have no idea how annoying it is to try to find clothing for a figure and find the majority of it is slutty thong clothing that's apparently for street use. Where's the sweaters and loose fitting sweat pants? Normal stuff that you'd see a college girl where when she's just lounging around, not Bikini Killer 4000.

Thread: GC (gamma correction) in Poser or in Photoshop? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - KobaltKween says the truth. Using my camera metaphor, if you take an under-exposed photograph into your image-manipulation software, there's only so much you'll be able to correct: over-exposed or under-exposed, information will have been lost.
That's a good metaphor but not compeltely accurate. While it's true an underexposed image can have major problems when it's being brought to the correct exposer, it never loses information if you're talking about DSLR images. It may look ugly but you'll always have the details there once it's brought up unlike an overexposed image. Once it's overexposed to white with blown highlights, you can never have those details back.

I've never cared for Alice and if I saw someone like that in real life I'd be scared. The clothes I don't care for either, it's the hairs that they've sold which I love. I think the ones I have are L.A., Fable, and Golden Drops hair. Each one is amazing and I really hope they release that straight hair that was in one of the Alice promos months ago.
Thread: Alice | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I never bought Alice but AS makes some great hairs. I know they were working on a straight-ish hair that I was going to grab when it came out but they never finished it and I was really sad about that. :(

Coleman, the ones from meshbox look great but didn't exactly fit what I had in mind. Thanks though. :D
Annibel, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for reuploading the file. Yay. :)

Doesn't Poser 8 had Gamma Correction Script in it?
It's possible that I've missed it but I just chekced and didn't see anything. :(
