Yeah... I had a mite of trouble modelling Tick's pecs. They were either too wide or too tall. So I decided to split the difference. Transgendered Tick to the rescue!

Sweet! Looks like the carbonite dippy thing from Empire Strikes Back. Just add Darth and Han and yer good to go! :)
Thread: April challenge entry.......Aurora Borealis. | Forum: Bryce
Beautiful pic (and yes, the Northern Lights DO sorta look like that), but I gotta agree with Sparr on this one: too much postwork. This should be entered in the Photoshop forum, not the Bryce. My 2 cents.

Incredibly beautiful render! I especially like the slightly bent bottle caps. The only thing I can think of that could improve this image is this: the light shining through the toppled beer bottle seems a touch too yellow. Maybe a very low-ranged radial light with a brown gel, placed right under the neck of the bottle? Ah, who cares! Great pic!

Is it for Poser? Bryce? That Hot Wheel's Loopdiloop track that I always wanted, but my dad said was only for big kids? I like the wheels, but I think I'd lose one or two, or four, of those headlights. But hey, for five bucks? You could sell it pretty easily I imagine.

you know, if you tweaked the colours a bit, and added a few pieces of intimate anatomy here and there, this could pass for a light-hearted Giger pic. Me likes! :)
Thread: April Challenge - Templo de la Forma | Forum: Bryce
Very nice. And damn that RJ for not allowing Poser figs! :) This scene would be mint with a few hooded figures gazing into that fire.

thanx folks, I'll give your suggestions a try. The "spikes on terrain" trick I knew already, and is nice for makes scenes with trees creeping up the sides of mountains.

Hmm.... looks like I have some competition here. I too chose a grand old choo-choo for my challenge entry. Heh! At least I didn't use the shapey-type-thingamajigger in the same way. :) Oh, and nice render!

Lots of amazing meshes on this site, including fridges. ;) The only problem is they are all in DWG format, so you'll have to get a proggie to convert 'em. I use Amethyst CADConvert, which is a free demo download from www.cadwizz.com.Thread: March Challenge Winners Here!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Congratulations to all three winners!!! This challenge was a blast, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Oh, and a huge thank you to those that voted for me! Jay

Firekath, there's a program called Grouper (in the R'Osity Free Stuff, if I recollect), that can fix Poser to Bryce Import errors. I used to get nothing BUT errors every time I tried to import OBJs from Poser. Try running your OBJ's through the Grouper utility, and then import them into Bryce. The only drawback is that Grouper will ONLY work on OBJs, no other format.
