I had this problem when using intel integrated graphics. When I used my NVidia card the problem was cured.
Thread: What are the proper category subfolders? | Forum: New Poser Users Help
You do not normally need to add the subfolders. If you have a named folder that contains a folder named runtime you just direct poser to the runtime folder when adding a library and it will add a new library called whatever the parent folder was and add the subfolders. IE if you have Mycontent/runtime it will add a library Mycontent. The error message you are getting seems to indicate that poser cannot write to the runtime folder. Is it set to read only or in your program files folder?
Thread: shadows from the fire objects when using Sandworld fireplace in Poser 11 | Forum: New Poser Users Help
The picture you have posted appears to be a preview. Try rendering it in firefly with auto setting set to final and see what you get. Shadows often look weird in preview but turn out fine when rendered.
Thread: Why is there so much support for Genesis and very little for Poser now? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
While I can perfectly understand vendors following the market trend believing that this will bring them the best reward for their work, and they may well be right in the short term, in the longer term this may well be wrong for everyone. On another site a vendor has stated that products for SM figures don't sell. Perhaps one reason for this is that, that part of the market was allowed to wither and die. Users were forced into the arms of V4/M4 and that market now seems rather saturated. Hence vendors are now deserting poser entirely and creating for the only new market segment, G3. But where will they go once that segment gets saturated? Wait for G4 I suppose. But if I take the example of Tempesta3d, here is a vendor who has created content for a wide range of figures. I'm guessing I'm not typical, I like to use as many different figures as I can. Looking through my runtimes I have only about 4 Tempesta characters for V4 and 1 for M4, while I've got 36 for other figures, from Miki 2 to Pauline, via Dawn, Dusk, Anastasia, Scarlet, Miki4 and various Alyson's. (By the way, if anyone is looking for a great Miki 4 character check out Tempesta's Patrizia!) So as far as getting my money it's been a wise commercial decision of Tempesta not to concentrate on the popular figures.
Thread: Has low polycount characters ever been sold here or any Poser site ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you go to Epici's store here you will find low res soldiers. As Ulli said, Predatron at DAZ has a number of low res figures, Lorretta Lores and Lorenzo Lores are the most versatile as these come in clothed and unclothed versions.
Thread: any new V4/M4 characters in store with superfly settings? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not sure about M4, but I know recent V4 characters by Twizted Metal have superfly shaders and there may well be others. Some props have also had superfly materials, but again I haven't really looked at buildings, villages etc.

The V4 eye issue is a general problem. It has been discussed and solutions explained on the cgbytes forum.
Thread: New to Poser 11-How do I get my external Video Card to Show up in Superfly? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've noticed you have said you use Poser 11. The base poser 11 does not support GPU rendering, only poser 11 pro does this.

My last attempts were with google chrome version 48.0.2564.116, which says it is up to date. As I said this was a new install. John

Downloaded and installed chrome, did hard refresh on system. Don't really know how to clear cookies and cache. Still not working. John
Thread: Question about video cardds and Poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
open gl. I could use Sree3D which overcame the strange banding in textures but produced overly vivid colours. It might be driver problems with the integrated graphics, but as I could use the NVidia card I never investigated further.
Thread: Question about video cardds and Poser 11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My computer has integrated graphics and an nVidia card. I found poser 10 virtually unusable in hardwire preview mode using integrated graphics due to really strange material effects. I've just checked P11 and the problem seems to have been overcome, but I've only checked a figure in the default P11 scene, so I'd be a bit concerned about relying on integrated graphics
