Are you going to post the figure? It would be nice to have a touch of royalty wandering through my poser files. And now for something completely different, I wished that spell check would work for these posts. I seem to spend a lot of time looking up words. Like: "the, a, of, and...."

Thread: Poser Patch problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What happen to me, was that I lost the ability to open any library files. Everything else seem to work, but could not get the library files open. First thing I tried was to copy over the Poser rsr file, which seemed to be the problem, but that didn't work. That's when I just created another Poser file and installed the shobang in it. Then copied the orginal Library files to it. I understand the reasoning behind beta files and programs, but geesh, I think that I will wait for a delta, gamma or even omega in the future

As you put it, TyggerBob, it was and I would think still free. I would assume that it would fall under the freeware rule. However, I don't know for sure. Nor, would I ask somebody to send me something that got from BBay or anyone else selling their hard work. I hope to make a bit of money myself one of these days, and I know I would resent the heck out of someone giving my stuff away, unless that I had posted in a free stuff area of some kind. Then I wouldn't have any problems with.

I solved the problem, I think. I just created another Poser folder, and then copied the library files to it. Then I deleted the orginal poser file. I was going to re-load Poser on top of itself, but decided not to. I didn't really know what was wrong it and I didn't want to take a chance on losing everything.

That's the rub. Except for Poser crashing last week, I haven't ever had any real problems with, once I started to get a handle on it. The big problem for me was going from Poser 2 to Poser 4. I didn't even know that there was a Poser 3 till I bought 4. I think that I will wait. I have to much time invested right now in the sheer number of hours that I have spend re-installing from the last time and I still am not even half way finished. Thanks, for the info

Sigh, again? I just got started loading everything from the last crash. I just installed slightly over 300 megs of stuff from the free stuff area. Is the patch really worth it?

Thanks, that answered several questions, and a tutorial would help immensely. That's one of the great things about this place. Everyone is willing to help everyone else, and the outcome judging from the gallery is too good to believe sometimes. Thanks again for your help.

Ok ok, I made a typo. It should say "Some don't". I am not the world's greatest speller either
Thread: Poser window | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The thing that really upsets me most about this whole thing, that I was an orginal user of Poser and then Poser 2, I don't remember the interface being that cluttered or hard to use. Also why is that Programmers think that have to get cute? Why not just make a simple easy to use interface that isn't cluttered, easy to read and most important, usable. Why not make the dials and menus, floating for one thing. Why not make the document window, full screen size for another. Why limit yourself to one corner? Poser is still one of the best programs of its kind out there, I can't wait to see what the next company does with it. Do you think they might be willing to listen to actual users of it?
