Well, Jokerman is a commercial font and I guess you were looking at the Linotype site - and you can't get much more official than that! Other sites shouldn't be offering this one for free, and the few I checked simply linked to Linotype or fonts.com.
If you buy it, of course you can use it, but it may not do you much good using it on a web page as text unless everyone viewing the site has it installed (unlikely). You can create images with it and use those on your pages because no-one can extract the font from an image. The license specifies that you cannot embed the font into a document, which is not the same as using it in a document, and that you can't make it available on a server over the internet, which you aren't doing if you use the font on web page.

Thread: When I am HAPPY, I am VERY happy! Vue "old" Extra Veg plants work!! | Forum: Vue
At the risk of stirring things up even more, I will say that I am glad Lyne is happy. I don't own all those plants but I have bought some from Cornucopia and the ones I have seem fine. Sure, Cornucopia is not perfect and had more than its share of teething troubles. So have some of the products - I hd to laugh at the ships with the wooden planks in the hull running vertically rather than horizontally! But the people running it seem to me to be doing their best to make it work, and are very courteous and helpful to their customers (sometimes in the face of considerable provocation). Yes, Vue has its problems too - and I was cursing it often enough at the weekend when it kept failing to save a scene of mine - but hey, for me it's a hobby. My livelihood doesn't depend on it. I don't know what 'clique' is being referred to, although I'm not part of it. All I know is that there are some very knowledgeable people here who are generally extremely helpful. Long may that continue (and Lyne, keep posting happy messages!). Steve

Thread: Is Vue a Better Poser Renderer? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think Vue is easier to use to get good renders. This is because the lights in Vue are easier to use and control - just more sophisticated overall. But if you work at it and get to know Poser's lights, you can get excellent results in P6, IMO better than in Vue for closeups. Vue is, however, much better for large outdoor scenes, which is after all what is was designed for.

Don't know of any such textures but you can easily overlay some tats on any texture. There's a freeware Celtic pattern font from Omega font labs - see link - which makes it pretty straightforward.Steve

Yes to the first, and it saved okay, fortunately. Haven't tried flushing the history - I'll try this, thanks. Aborting renders - yes, I do that a lot - is it a Bad Thing?

I think it must be the link above. Billed as a game, but clearly isn't. It does look quite interesting, and for $20 certainly worth a look. I was going to download the demo but it weighs in at 117Mb (!) so even with DSL I drew the line at that.(Apologies to Marque if this isn't the same thing.)

Interesting. One of the objects I imported did have to be welded, but I tried leaving it unwelded and it didn't seem to make any difference. I wonder if I should have imported the object, saved it as a .vob, then loaded that into my scene instead of importing the .obj file directly? I'll try it - thanks.

No, it's not a networked drive - just the local HD. Although there is one shared directory - and one of the textures used in the scene was from that shared folder. Could all be part of the same problem I guess, so I'll turn sharing off and see what happens. Many thanks for the suggestion.
I seem to recall this problem was an issue with a previous build but was fixed with the more recent ones, but I could be wrong.

This time is appears to be just on saving over an existing file. When I got this a few months ago, it was on both new and existing files. I think I'll put a support ticket in to e-on and see what happens. It's really annoying not being able to be sure that you can save changes to your scene :-(

Thread: Software to create realistic planetary images? | Forum: Community Center
You could try the 'Universe' plugin from www.universeimagecreator.com or you could use Vue but with a custom image map for the planet. The image below was created in Vue with a detailed map of Mars:
