i mean, the joint for moving the left leg has the same upper and lower limits as a claw morph for example, why does poser make a DRASTICALLY different interval setting for the morph?! this sucks... i hate downloading figures and having to type in the morph values, cause you just cant wait for the darn dial =P

nope, if you leave the displacement the same for 10 different morph targets, poser randomly chooses intervals for each... !#@$!$%@##$%^ =/

hey speaking of that, how exactly do you make like a chair... that when you switch a dial it changes into a bench... something like that, i know it can be done ive seen it

yeah i think i got it now, thanks for the tips!!! what i was doing was deleting not just the head v, vt, and f info, but also like the right eye and some other stuff too lol. that file is so damn big i kept scrolling down too far every time i tried it, and ended up cutting extra.

well actually the legs should have nothing to do with it (hopefully), since i did not touch them in the cr2 editor. the head is the only part that needs to point to an external OBJ. and although it is pointing correctly, i have random loss of body parts (they are still there, just invisible) i mean... TONS of people are doing this, every single person who posts on DAZ3D has to know how, so it seems like there has got to be a cut and dried way to fix it.. argh

cool thanks! so it looks like if i use a human figure as a guide in my modeling program, i should be able to get it pretty close before it even imports to poser

well, i remade those branches, for offset and handler, like you mentioned earlier, and now part of the figure is visible! .... problem is the rest is still invisible; no error on finding the obj file or anything when i double click the library icon for it. i also deleted the rsr file that goes with it, which you mentioned earlier... but that did not sem to help anything, now i just have the shrugging guy on the library panel and still 90% invisible figure, no idea what im doing wrong

I made another cr2, one i could mess with. so i zero'd the figure, made the obj file, then text edited the cr2, removing all the geomcustoms (took a while) and put in a pointer to my geometry file in 2 different places... i looked at zygote's lion cr2 and this is how i found the 2 places to point to the geometry file... so when i was done i import the cr2 into my scene and i dont get an error... but the model is invisible =( any ideas?

cool i will check that site out. and i know characters, i have created tons of poseable figures with no problem (my dark crystal characters, among others, are up for download) the thing is, i always create the CR2 in poser by simply adding the figure to the library, after that i dont have a need for the OBJ, problem with that strategy of course is, once you have the figure all set up and posed, if you put the texture on it and notice ANY mistake... guess what, you have to completely break up the model and pose it, set joints, etc all over again... yuck
