You're welcome. Although it was brought to my attention that since the maps were in jpeg format that they had lost a lot of the detail and had pixel artifacts and we are working on correcting this. Until then, if you need to, I tried this and it did pretty good, resize the image to say 2000x2000, up the resolution to 300 dpi and save in bmp or tif format. I tested this is Bryce and was quite satisfied with the results (for a temporary measure that is).

One thing that I always do before rendering a complex image or one at a high resolution is to close all programs and reboot. When you come back up, close as many programs as you can, especially the ones that show up in your toolbar. Finally, open up your file in Bryce and render. It could also be that the open file takes up so much memory that there isn't enough left to render. Try breaking up the file if possible and rendering, then piecing back together in a paint program. Good luck.

Thanks, Wizzard. Even if you are the only one, it's worth posting. I'll try to get it up this evening after I visit my online class or tomorrow evening at the latest.

That's what brought this image to mind after seeing movies and tv programs with camel races in them. It was exciting watching them and I would love to see one in real life.
Thread: FREE Space station module #2 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Station is planned for completion in 2005 but a crew will go up in October of this year to begin actually living there. I'm a little obsessed with the station since I was a counselor at U.S. Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama in 1989 and have been working on the real thing since July of 1990. If you're interested, NASA a lot of excellent information on the station including capabilities, pictures, faqs, etc at http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/station/reference/index.html Boeing has a great site too at http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/space/spacestation/ I've been wanting to do another station pic and Ed's modules are giving me ideas.

Sorry, Space Station Alpha is already taken (grin). For those of you who don't know, the original program was called Space Station Freedom, then Space Station Alpha (during the transition period between the old and new programs) and finally, The International Space Station as it remains today. And, good news, Zvezda, the Russian Service Module has passed all its tests and is scheduled to launch between July 8 and 14. Looking forward to using these models myself.
