Thread: Using Bryce to create IMAGE textures - Download | Forum: Bryce
I agree with AgentS, I shot over 100 different textures in Bryce via Overhead (Top) view and used in Terragen and they worked great that way. Worked so well in fact I stopped using TG Classics surfaces and only used the Bryce mats as overlays. I was even able to get 9 of them to work really well in Vue6, but the funny thing is when I tried to reverse it in Vue and use the Vue mats in Bryce, Bryce said "Oh No You Don't, get the Puppy out of here", LOL!!! Bryce just didn't seem to like the Vue mats, Haven't figured that one out yet, still working on it!!!! But when you render it, you control the look that you are after!!! Just my 4 cents!!!!

Thread: Bryce `s export mat help needed!!! | Forum: Bryce
One thing you can do is an Overhead (TOP)Â Camera shot render of you texture, 'MAT', on a flat surface and import into your said 3D app as a .bmp, .jpg, or whatever. It only works well with mats that are not height dependant on the way they react, in which case you are on your to mix and match.

Thread: Some may or may not remember me :) | Forum: Bryce
I don't know you or your work but I use Bryce 5.5 and 6 and recently purchesed Vue6. BUT, I still and will always do Bryce and I very much look forward to it's next version, 6.1. And by Version 7 should have some of those features that Vue now has. Just because you use Vue doesn't mean that you don't do Bryce also, Actually it's fun to do both or my case all 3, Terragen, Bryce and Vue and I am learning Poser7 also and my first Poser happens to be in Bryce that I will post a little later next week. So Come On and do some more Bryce-ing and we promise to give it a Vue or 2!!!!!! ; ^ D

Thread: Newbie and Rendering Question | Forum: Vue
Also, you can stop your render/save/restart at a later date if 20-30-40 hours is to long to tie up your comp. That feature alone is worth the price for me, Oh and did I tell ya "I LOVE VUE 6" !!!!!!!!

Thread: resuming render | Forum: Vue
I tried it for the first time, 3 times on the same scene and only had Vue struggle a little bit trying to resume render after the 2nd and 3rd times. I think it was because of the amount of information that It had to load each successive time and it grew larger!!!

Thread: The Renderosity Brycers ultimate Lighting experence | Forum: Bryce
Only the IBL and the Radial on the floor. Alot of the shadow produced from making the ceiling 10% transparent. I tweaked exactly for the effect of the Hard Shadow in the Corner, to Trap the BEAST!!!!

Attached Link: IBLtesting-Thelby-01C
Please Use the Above Link to View Image Concerning this Thread: Used the Debevec Beach-Probe, with Sunlight enable through the "Link Sun to View" That way it counts as a directional IBL source. I made the ceiling 10% transparent so that some, but not all of the IBL would come through it, you can also do that to walls for interiors, see my "The Study" in my gallery. A Small Cube was placed on top to create the shadow that traps the one eyed "Beast" One small soft radial light on the floor just for flavor.IBL Settings:
Quality: 2
Intensity: 55
HDRI Effect: 100

Yeah it's definitely a problem, when you want to move a couple or three objects as a group to keep the same general shape and it crashes, Geeezz. Hope it's fixed Very Soon!!!

Thread: Unable to Group Objects | Forum: Vue
Correct on the RAM in Win XP Pro 32, only 2 GBs of RAM can be accessed per application. That's still 2GBs of RAM. PC 5400 667 MHz speed on it. There is a guy at Conucopia says he has the same problem with the grouping, so I opened a ticket on it and I hope it will be resolved, cause I am really liking Vue. Thanks Steve, I really appreciate it : ^ D
