Unfortunately, EZskin isn't a fan of me having CycleMaterials.py or CycleSkin.py Custom shaders folder in Poser 13.
It'll panic and turn into this...

Haven't had much luck trying to find the right setting to make the SuperFly preset look the same for skin as the previous version yet. Harder than I thought. If I do, I'll be sure to share.
With how easy EZSkin makes the whole process, ChromeStar if anyone could make them custom shaders for EZskin, I think that would be great! The more options, the better.
Did some testing of https://sharecg.com/v/85846/gallery/9/Plug-in/Cycle-based-plug-in-for-EZskin3-poser11-only
Unfortunately, these shaders haven't been updated to work in Poser 12/13, interestingly they still seem to look fine in Poser 13... actually, I think they look a bit better in Poser 13 than they did in 11.
The main issue is having to use Poser 11 to apply them.
Any chance we can get these working in the current EZSkin Y-Phil?

Another version of Poser, which means everything has changed again with SuperFly... yay?
(sorry I'm late to the party, the Mac version only went live recently)
Same character and scene in all 3 versions of Poser.
I can keep playing with the EZBlinn Node until it matches what we had with Poser 11/12 and the original SuperFly.
In saying that, for anyone using EZSkin, an easier way to adjust this for all skin services, prior to applying EZSkin is to select Edit skin.
Then scroll all the way down to Reflectivity and lower the value.

I see what you mean. I made use of changing the export movie format to Images Files myself in Poser versions prior to 13.
I'll give what Richard60 has described a try.
On Mac it does still have the Image Path option, and if you click Change you can change File Type. So sounds like it's the same regardless of OS.

Thanks hborre, that's got me looking forward to trying out P13. (With P11 to P12 being a nightmare, I wasn't sure if I'd keep updating after that, but this sounds great)

Been a while since I had time to play with Poser properly, so am a little out of the loop. Looks like there is still a little bit of a wait until I can use 13 on my Mac anyway.
In the meantime, there was quite a change between 11 and 12, a lot of broken scripts needing to be updated, and materials looked very different in each version.
For anyone using Poser 13 already, was it a smooth crossover this time from 12 to 13, or are there some things to be aware of this time around too?

Wow, thank you for fixing all of that so quickly.
Like with SceneFixer, I've uploaded it and listed it as EZSkin 3.1 (Updated version maintained by Y-Phil).
Hopefully yourself and Snarly are happy with that, if either of you wish for any changes please let me know.
I also included the installation instructions and the original manuals from EZSkin in the zip too.

BB Hair Shader by AP is one of my favourites, that's the one I missed the most when switching to Poser 12.
Scene Fixer works fine, so I've already uploaded it to https://cobrablade.net/snarlygribbly/poser.html as SceneFixer (Updated version maintained by Y-Phil).
Replacing BB Hair Shader by AP with your updated version, and things are looking a lot better now.

I can certainly host them. Scene Fixer started up fine, and I can try and test it here on my Mac a bit later.
EZSkin on the other hand... if I replace the EZSkin3.pyc in my ScriptsMenu folder with this EZSkin3.py I get this...

Thread: Poser 12 Python compatibility question | Forum: Poser 12
Ah, that explains it, I was a little confused, as EZSkin already ran in Poser 12 but I knew the Cycles plugins weren't compatible yet.
This is really good news and sad news all at once, it's great we have Scene Fixer working in P12 now, and that EZSkin is even more compatible... but it also sounds like Snarly no longer plans to work on them either.
Just wondering how you both wanted to proceed. Would you like me to host your versions of Snarly's scripts Y-Phil over at https://cobrablade.net/snarlygribbly/poser.html?
It sounds like these will be replacing the originals going forward. Or would you rather keep them separate, hosted by yourself, as they are now?
I should also say thanks to both of you for being such a big help to the Poser community. Most of us couldn't do what we do without these scripts.

I must have missed something, but in a nutshell, what are the differences between Snarly's Poser 12 version of EZSkin3.1 and the newly compiled from source version Y-Phil worked on?

Also, there's a small bug on EZ Skin. If you load the script BEFORE loading a figure, the interface disappears and cannot be reloaded. When you try, it reports that it is already active.
Hmm, wasn't able to replicate this, it still opened for me. Is anyone else able to test this out? I'm using a macOS 11.5 and Poser 12 on this end.

Also depends on what version of Poser a script was originally made for as Poser 12 isn't the 1st version of Poser to receive an updated Python engine.

Only the Poser 12 scripts at the top will run in Poser 12. With the legacy scripts, unfortunately, I never backed up older version of Poser so with Smith Micro out of the picture I only have access to Poser 12&11 so wouldn't be able to test if any of them stopped working after a specific version prior to 11.

Let me know if the shadow catcher renders as a misty field by default LostAlien. That's what I had with my testing, but it would be interesting to know if the same was for anyone using a Mac.
