I mean a company bought the license, not a person bought a copy :) Carrara has been on the Metacreations site listed as 'for sale' for ages.

Thread: Using Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The answers to all of your questions and more can be found in the Poser manual. If you dont have it you can download it from www.curiouslabs.com There are also several tutorials here at Renderosity geared towards the new Poser user. Click the 'Tutorials' link at the top of your screen. I dont mean to sound rude, so please dont take this the wrong way -- but if you are unwilling to take the time to read the manual then why should I, a complete stranger, be willing to write it all out for you in these forums?

Just make one. All it is is a rounded cylinder. Or if you cant, let me know and I'll make you one and UV map it so all you need to do is apply a texture.

Get Syyd's Dr. Morpheen from the free stuff archive. Thats the best free skin and morph package youll find for the p4 male.
Thread: Why are Poser clothes so geeky? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd try to answer this post with some info and suggestions, but the truth is it would be too big a post and its Sunday morning and I just woke up. Theres no way I'm writing a 2 page long post. If you want top-notch professional quality clothing and figures, youre going to have to pay for it. Go to www.daz3d.com and see what they have to offer. There are also some nice things here in the Renderosity marketplace. What I suggest you do is browse through the galleries here at Renderosity, and see what is possible with poser. The clothing isnt geeky at all. The DEFAULT poser models and clothing are pretty dated, but thats because there are no adequate texture/transparency/bump maps applied to them. Read the part in your Poser manual about texture/bump/transparency/reflection mapping, and then experiment with loading some maps onto the default poser clothing. YOu can find dress and outfit maps in Renderosity's freestuff area. If you dont want to spend more money on poser items then you can find enough things in the freestuff area to keep you busy for awhile until you get more experienced.

I tried that, its in my first post. It didnt work at all, the dork would be loaded in the upper left corner.
Thread: Supermodel Vickie question, Jim, anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jim released a morph on his site that sets SMV's face back to the original Vicky face. Then you can use morph manager or a text editor to copy morphs from vicky or vicky 2 to SMV's head.

Thats not really a solution, considering that I dont have any UI dots set. Having to Pre-set UI dots so that 'just in case my program screws up I can restore it' requires that you predict the program is going to screw up like this.
Thread: Is Victoria Ver 2 on the Victoria Cd? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Maybe you should have spent more time reading the product description: "One installer that loads the following... Victoria Model for Poser Victoria Maps 1 and 2 Layered flip hairstyle Victoria Clothing Pak 1" Nowhere does it say that Vicky 2 is included. Dont blame this on Daz, its your fault for not reading the fine print. Or if you're still unsure about something then you can contact them or post the question here for clarification.

When you render the people, save it as a .TIFF image. Then load it into Photoshop (if you have it, if you dont maybe someone can help you with instructions on another image editing program) and go to selection - load and load the alpha channel. If you rendered it without a background you will be able to select the figures perfectly by loading the alpha channel. Then just copy and paste them onto the other image or whatever background you want. You really should pick up some more ram, its cheap as hell now. You can pick up 128 MB for just over 30 dollars US.
Thread: Armorer/Etcher Wanted (for Low Pay) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What bothers me is that although you expect a professional wage for the product (by selling it at the marketplace) youre trying to get someone to texture it practically for free.
Thread: Armorer/Etcher Wanted (for Low Pay) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Let me get this straight... You want someone to texture practically your entire barding pack so that you can sell it in the marketplace for profit, and your 'payment' for this is to give them one free copy of the pack itself? Wow, thats pretty generous. I think I'll pass though.

Have you ever looked at some of the Viewpoint models? Theyre pretty pathetic for the most part. I cant believe some of the basic crap theyre selling for hundreds of dollars, they look like someones first attempts at modelling.
