@Glen some ideas: it's useful to clear the exchange files (in utilities) before starting a new simulation. Exchange files stay even if you close VWD and Poser. There is also a button to refresh the animation from Poser (in the last video) I didn't try yet the hair simulation : on page 37 of the manual, VWD talk about curly hair vs smooth hair (which is for me the case of Desire Hair). We must separate the strands to make them independant. Strands which are too close will interact and make a wet hair effect.

@Timberwolf I couldn't wait for the DAZ plug in! Like I have Poser and don't do animation renders, my workflow is simple:
In DS4, I make my scene:
In Poser:
This basic scenario can more complex depending on the scene: pose, clothe,... (like all dynamic simulation !!) And yes if I change the pose or the morph of G3F I must do a new simulation (like all dynamic simulation !!!) but the result is there. My babydoll example (simple) took 1 mn import/export and simulation another one.
In the picture a scene in progress: G2F (Josie morph and posed) and Malaik outfit for V4 from Arki (two separate simulations for dress and outerskirt and some tricks for the belts, keys, jewels!). It's my most complex scenario. I tried to do the same with the clothe room but everything freezed. The result is far better than the included morphs (even if they are good: I love Arki clothes!) and I don't have the standard crotch trouble of dress conformed to Genesis.
My trouble now is that I have plenty of clothes for which I want to do dynamic simulations :-)

Hello,
@VWD: AMAZING!!! I jumped on the videos and I see plenty of new features I dreamed of :-)
Here is my last project: G3F and the babydoll clothe went through VWD because the conforming wasn't good. I have ideas to improve the result with the new functionnalities.
I hope the next version will come soon!!

Oh thanks Biscuits!
I tried a more complex scenario with Genesis 3 female seated on a chair and MFD. I hope to share something later.
For me VWD can also be used by people like me who don't render animation but want to improve their conforming clothes and VWD offer functionalities we don't have in the clothe room
... and I wait for the next release!
Yes! what a brillant catwalk made by poor Victoria!

Another test made this WE with a more finalized picture. Genesis3F, Aether clothes
It only took 10 minutes to do the dynamic part of the clothe (DS4, Poser, VWD, Poser, DS4, Octane). I think VWD can improve many clothes not only for animation. I'll try more complex scenario and the hair simulation.
And no, I'm not paid by VWD :-)

Hello
Here is a very rough test after a few hours with VWD (Genesis 3 and Artemis Moon Dress). Of course my purpose is not animation but static scene so I imported objects from DS4 in Poser. Thanks to the help of VirtualWorldDynamics I began to have some pleasant result. The drape is far more better than what I could get with all the clothe morphs and perfectly fit G3F. A few adjustement was needed for instersecting polygons also because I don't master VWD. For me one of the most pleasant functionnality is to work in a "continual" simulation instead of an animation based on a scenario like Poser.
Congratulation to Virtual, I think it's a must have! ... and wait for a Daz version to simply my workflow :-)
Thread: OctaneRender for Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I currently own an octane license with a quadro FX 4800 1,5 gb.
On my experience I have trouble on half scenes I make. Texture size is easily managed with resizing all of them (50% make the job) after collecting all them, as the octane look for textures in the same folder as the geometry. It's quick!.
For textures number it's more complex. For exemple: V4, Marai from Surreality, UraalNys clothes from Awfulsoul, Midnight summer dream hair, path scene from vikike: 120 textures approx!! The only solution I found was 2 or 3 exports from Poser, geometry object node in octane, 2 or 3 renders and after postwork!

One more point,
Dazstudio have a really great tool to answer the size and number of textures problems: "Texture atlas". It's quick and very effective. There is also the LOD possibility. So with external renderer like octane, I'm hesitating with what could be the best tool to make my scene?

Thanks Paul for your replies.
Plenty of great options in the instancing process. I found the octane process sometimes tedious. How work the density map? can I drive the instancing to put more grass near a wall for exemple (I like Vue ecosystems!)?
Too bad for the manuel. I like to read them in the train! and yes I already viewed all videos (and not only once!)
I choose to split my scene taking in account the shadows to optimize the postwork. It's not easy and some object can be in both render. Aerysoul clothings (top quality!) have an impressive number of textures.
The time to create a new material preset is very long. Collect all textures and resize them all is quick but after I must assign all materials to resized textures. Another inconvenient is that, for me, the ratio is not the same for each scene: it depends of the complexity of the scene and if the character is in front or in the background,.... Do you know some tool(s) to optimize the process in Poser?

Hello faceoff
Good job and I'm really interested with your plug! Here is some questions/queries:
before the demo version could we have access to the manual?
how long the beta before the target price? (I must plan it in my budget :-))
Is the octane scene saved? can I open it in octane without poser?
I'm fighting in octane with the usual two topics:
the size of the textures: I collect the scene inventory, resize textures before going in octane. Is there an automatic process? define the ratio, put the resized textures in a defined folder (same as octane scene?), point the octane scene to these resized tex and leave poser to the original textures?
the number of textures: with Octane V1 RC we have the geometry group node. With this node I split my export from poser in 2 objects, regroup them in the same geometric group in octane. So I can define my camera, lighting, ... it will be the same for the 2 objects. It's also easier to adjust materials, I make 2 renders and merge them in 2D app. I think it's easier with your plug and the visibility tag in Poser.
Are there better ways to answer these problems?
Thanks for your answers (and sorry for my bad english!)

I Found it!!
I downloaded the V1.9.5 plug-in pack but it's not complete! The Rsr2png, Poser python,... plug-ins are in the 1.9.2 pack.
Both my problem are resolved!
Thanks again

Thanks!
But I can't find inbuild python with the right click (in any library). Do you know what did I miss during my installation process? (I use P3DO Pro)

Okay, I downloaded, the last version at Senosoft. It's perfect! Gathering all my textures from a pz3 file and copy them in another folder is amazing. What will you invent next? :-) PS: since I discover the PRPCD plugin I don't use the Poser Library browser.
