Thread: Help with Native Poser Import? | Forum: Carrara
It acts as though the Poser IK was still in effect. When Poser's IK is in effect, the figure acts in a similar way.

Esther, I use ToonPro and change the number of Levels to 3 and then changing the Shadow/Brightness level down to 5 or 10 depending on what look I want. I like the effect you achieve with the Photoshop filters because it looks more organic. I admit the colors in my pictures are very crisp, but you achieve a nice soft look in your image. Are the lines on your figure's left leg achieved through Photoshop or is that a feature of ToonPro? That kind of cross-hatching isvery effective...

Thanks, Dizzi! Will I have to import the Poser figure using Carrara's Import feature or with TransPoser? Does it make a difference?

Esther - I really like the look you achieved with your image. How did you achieve it? It has a really nice look that I might associate with some of Jean Giraud's work. I'd love to compare notes...

Esther - I just got toonPro and I think I'm in love! It gives the best toon renderings for Poser figures of any program I've ever used. I've tried Lightwave, DAZ Studio and Poser's own toon settings but there's always some glitch somewhere. toonPro offers the best so far and I've only played with it for 15 minutes. Maybe the romance will wear off later this weekend. ;)
Thread: VectorStyle and Poser import? | Forum: Carrara
Well, I just want to check my options. ;) SWF format has a nice sharp line without pixilation. I just want to see what it looks like with Poser figures.

OK, then. Carrara's line generator for its Toon plug-in works well with Poser figures. Would I get similar results with VectorStyle?

Esther - I might wait a bit to give my bank account a breather after the recent holidays, but I'll make sure I post something if not here then in my Renderosity gallery. -SmallFry
Thread: TransPoser/Poser Import question | Forum: Carrara
I'm using TP2 to bring it all in. I used this plug-in to convert some Mike3 clothing to David: http://www.philc.net/WardrobeWizard.htm The obj file for this clothing is in a specific folder. When I used C5Pro Demo, I pointed to where the obj file is. Now with C5, it doesn't seem to find the obj because only the David figure comes in but not the clothing.
Thread: TransPoser/Poser Import question | Forum: Carrara
Hmm. I'll make sure that the patch is installed. I uninstalled the demo, but kept my legal copies of Carrara and TransPoser intact. I'm trying to bring the file in both as native and with TransPoser. As native, the mainfigureand clothing come in, but I can't edit any of the Poser Material settings. As TransPoser, my main figure imports, but not the custom clothing I have for him. Also, I have another file where the figure and clothing come in, but not the entire pose I'd set in Poser for the figure. The legs are posed, but not the arms. This is usingbothnative and TransPoser. Any ideas, anyone?
