hey, dunno if you're still waiting for a response, but I can answer a few questions, mainly because I'm looking for V3 foot/hoof morphs.
First, the reason you can't import a special prop to use as a morph is becuase you have to use the same body part from the figure you want to change, i.e: export V3's head as an obj and modify the head in Blender, then re-import the modified head as a morph target. Also, when you export out of Blender, make sure your figure you're editing is selected or it will try to export nothing.
Blender seems to be a little on the basic side as far as editing goes, I only picked it up about a week ago and have already worked on some ear morphs for Warcraft characters, but the sculpting tools seem very crude to me.
If worse comes to worse and you can't make it work, export V3's legs and use them to build your hooves around them so they blend in without seems, then use them as a prop
hope some of that helps
Thread: What's the best way to convert V3 textures to V4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
well, texture convertor works really well, though I have noticed you may have to do some tweaking, like if you have tattoos and such, but it does seem to work decent enough. DAZ also has a clothing converter as well, you have to buy the plugins for the characters you want to use, so you're not spending extra on figures you don't need to convert. You're like me, just haven't found a reason to switch yet :P
Quote - Can you be more specific about the results...I have a V3 texture that I would like to convert to V4...I want to use this for a graphic novel...will I be happy or just so so to the point that I just use V3? Also, what's a good program to fit morphed figures to their clothes with the least amount of tweaking?

I was wondering if it was that too, but with the way they advertised the car, I thought that was the savings thing, I was all set to buy it pouts
Thread: UV mapping, how do you do it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ok, I think I have it figured out, it looks like it's treating the entire car as one big texture group and I'm trying to select certain parts only, guess I'll have to work around that

yeah, that's the problem I had, I could create a new UV file, bur for whatever reason I couldn't attach any actual textures to it. Even loading the original file in Poser and selecting the textures by hand, they only show up black

yep, poser 7

here's the link, the 2009 Camaro. maybe it's just not compatible with Poser, but I thought all UV mapping was universal for all programs, but this isn't the first time I've done this either, that's what has my stumped

I actually deleted everything and reloaded the original model, maybe poser just doesn't like this particular file, grr

hmm, still same problem... I noticed the model came with its own textures, but those don't seem to work either
Thread: *sighs* can someone help me with mirrors? (covered nude warning) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
nah, i got it, I just set a spot light on the other side of the mirror and set the distance down a bit, then "pointed": it at the neck, seems to work perfect :D
Thread: *sighs* can someone help me with mirrors? (covered nude warning) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
lol, yeah, I don't know how that got turned on, must been something else I did, but even after I turned it off, it still gave the same results.
and I am trying the spotlight on the other side of the mirror trick, just have to find the right spot and intensity to match it up :P
Thread: *sighs* can someone help me with mirrors? (covered nude warning) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
was trying that too, but even the IBL's come out fairly dark... though in my last hour of searching, I might have found some new things I didn't know :P
Thread: Fitting Clothing to a modified figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I made a dwarf character (from WoW) and found that even when scaling the dress she was wearing, the sleeves ALWAYS ended up looking weird. I found that using a magnet placed in the right area on the arm would allow me to move the offending sleeve. I know it might not solve the problem if you're distributing to other people, but for "in house" renders of your own, it might be something to try :D

well, I was able to make the required 20% free space for defrags, then it went to 21% after the defrag.
My Max render cache is set at 10 and max undo is at 100
what would a good setting be for the render cache and the the undo level, I never touched either, figuring they were set at a certain level for a reason.
