Becuase of what Joe said and why he doesn't post and in the recent survey is why I suggested a newbee sub forum to this one to ask questions and where condisending posts are removed quickly.

There are seaoned vets here and I think newbees are afraid to asked questions becuase they think they will look foolish in this forum and are going to get blasted with the RTFM posts

I have a boat load of items purchased for V4 over the years and a long list of renders I plan to use them in. If I wanted to trade out the list of scenes I plan to render to another character I would have to wait years to accumulate the invnetory to support those scenes for those characters.

If I was a vendor, nstead of making items for V4, G2 or Dawn, etal, I would be making places to place V4 in. Like a grocery store, drug store, pawn shop, curb side at an airport, bus station, 7-11's, nobody has done a real full department store interior that I know of yet...  to name some that just popped into my head. Then make add on packs to give them American, Euro, Japanese or even Chinese looking.

Hornet3D back for 1 day before I travel again and reinstalling the support files did the trick.

now can can see the Game dev addendum and can get to work and make even a bigger mess of things while traveling :)

I searched on the word addendum yesterday and nadda. I am already traveling again until Friday. I will try reinstalling the support part of the update see if that solves the problem

Been traveling on business and was in town for the weekend before going out for 3 more days and upgraded to the GD verison I bought a few weeks back via the download manger and addded the serial number and no addendum shows up. The functions are active inside of Poser.  Nothing that looks like an addendum next to the standerd docs or the python docs that I can see.

When you say above the support folder.....Can I assume the addendum is in the support file installer and try re-installing just that when I get back Friday?

If possible can somebody post the full file name of the addenum so I can search to see if it got installed someplace odd.

I am on a Mac BTW.

4 keys issues that I see

1.) Reluctant to learn new software and or loose the Poser material room and Poser dynamic cloth (key factors for me, YMMV)

2.) Reluctant to set aside the heavy investment in time and mainly money in the V4M4 line of characters. ($$$ is the main factor for me)

3.) When G2 characters came out as an example and others since then, if there was a Gee Whiz product for them, you could refit the clothes or the hair with 3rd party tools to the Daz 4 series characters. Now with the Gen 1 and 2 products you can't do that (yet and might never be able to) but see something you want for a render and gripe about the fact that you feel like you are stuck in the past and missing out on the new toys.

4.) You could buy anything and use it (unless it was for Bryce or Carrera). You felt like you were in the majority and now feel like you are in the minority.

Forget the dents and destruction....Every car looks like it just came off the showroom floor, or from an auto detailer or through the car wash 3 minutes ago.Waxed and shined to perfection.

No dust, dirt, grim sprayed up on the lower panels behind the tires or water spots from a recent rain shower.

I only search the freebies for specific items to fill a scene and don't normally check it for new items

Could explain why nothing sells :biggrin: in the freebie section if others do the same.

The problem with the love-in is all the temple scenes Vikki is supposed to be Nakkid. All you are doing is inviting hackers to steal you images from the cloud and then distribute said Nakkid images all over the net...:lol:

Normally the preview attracks my eye in how it relates to what I am working on today or plan to in the future. Most of what everybody said above makes the purchase decision easier.

If there are items not included that they be called out prevents disappointment after purchase.

Links or a list of the items not include that were used in the promo render which attracted my attention so if I want I can buy those too even if they are not made by you.

If you want to add a bouns to attract users to buy your products, then from your preview renders, save off the lights and the pose if the product is a prop or a room, or something other then clothes or hair and include those. You took the time to go to the effort to light the scene for the promo render. It takes minutes to save off the lights or the pose of the character using a prop or postioned in your room or car ot whateever promo render. Hightlight that you are saving me the time to duplicate what you spent an hour perfecting in the pose.

Tell me if I get the templates or not.

If you went to a lot of trouble to set up specific materail zones to add accents to your product, then show those off too.

What I am seeing is some of the hair vendors are making the same product for both Gen and V4 and sold in the same set. Same with some of the character morphs sets (They cover both Gen and V4). Smart move by those vendors as they covers all the bases.

I can also understand vendors getting what is commonly referred to as writers block with V4 when it comes to wearable items. Whereas the Gen character allows either recycling, recycling with additons-improvements or just more freedon since the the wearable content for Gen characters isn't saturated yet.

Since I do exclsuively story illustrations, it is the buildings and prop items that will worry me if the creators step away from poser. Still don't have enough things to create scenes to place V4 in that are made yet. I am the worlds worst modler, so I rely on content.
