And will it ever see the light of day on the MAC? ........Still waiting. Come on Adobe, remember your roots ;-) James
Thread: New Product?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well Kupa, most of that news is only pertenant to the minority of users. And mostly PC users at that. Mac version of the C4D plugin: Not that many users that I know of have this program (too expensive IMHO). But that's my take on it. Avatar Lab: Mac version? More than likely not. But this seems to me to be the most interesting news. Though again, since the Atsmosphere player is PC only this leaves out the MAC people as they may create the avatar but can't view it online. World Builder plugin: I also don't know of too many users here with that either. Again, that's just my take on it, and what I see discussed here. Sorry to be so disgruntal, I guess I'm just in a bad mood today. I was just told by the Dell techies that the only way to fix my ailing PC is to reformat my hard drive and do a clean install. Sheesh! At least I still have my G4's to use until I figure out what to do. (I have no way of backing up my PC drive :( ) James

Thanks so much! It's always great to have good reference material. Very nice of you to share. James

I don't know what to say about the lips. There is only one set and it should be textured by the head texture you're using. Make sure that they are not transmapped (unless you want them to dissappear). If you want to get rid of them. Just do the same as with the Upper Eyebrows. Make them White, highlight Black, and Trans min 0, trans max 100, falloff 0, and NO textures in ANY of the boxes below. If that's not what you mean, please explain further. James

2 solutions mwa. The easiest is the "Brow gone" dial. But that may be only on Victoria. I don't have Poser open right now so I'm not 100% sure. The other way is to set the material color to White, the Highlight color to Black and make sure that all the texture options have "No Texture" in them. They'll still be there but render invisible. Hope that helps. James

Well Maxx if you have a moustache and some stubble, I'd love a hires face shot. Facial hair photos are very hard to find in hires. }:-{|> I had a digital camera but it wasn't up to my standards, I brought it back and now I don't have the money to get another. Go figure. James
Thread: NEW from Curious Labs! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I still think it's an Atmosphere (Adobe) Plug in for Poser Pro Pak and maybe the Player for MAC. But I'm glad you finally told people that it's NOT Poser 5. That's just cruel taunting someone into thinking that P5 may be out this soon ;-) James
Thread: New Product?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sounds like Atmosphere for the MAC? And a real plug in to export it from Poser. Am I right? I know I won't get an answer, but that's my take on this. James I guess we'll just have to wait :*-(

I had done several p4 morphs and textures awhile back. Included were: Aragorn, Frodo, Galadriel, Gollum, Legolas and Gandalf. These were good but need to be updated. And with the Adventurers Pak (Anton Kisiel) and other great stuff that has come out recentally, it should be much easier to do the go around. I'm sure I will revisit these and do something for the Millennium group. I still want to get a Galadriel hair prop done. I made one also awhile back, but it had too many liecensed parts to give away. But it was nice. So I'll try to get that going again. I also did a Harry Potter that turned out well too. But again it was for the dork and I need to do one for the Millennium Boy. Hint * Someone needs to do a good cloak, or make the DAZ costume shop cloak work with the Mil group. James

Well I've been in the "business" for over 20 years and still always under price myself. It's hard to say what to charge. Not knowing the extent of work you have to do and what these clients have to spend. I've found a good rule of thumb is to set an hourly rate on something like this. I useually start at $35.00 US dollars an hour, and up to about $50.00 an hour. But some clients like to just set up a flat fee and go by that. Also concider that these are book covers, and they will print up a number of them. So in commercial art this may fall into a "Ussage" type of price structure which is generally a bit higher than something that's used for a "one time only" printing. I.E. Book versus a magazine ad. I know this may be a bit confusing and I know I didn't give you too much to go on, but I hope this helps at least in a small way. James
Thread: Michael seam guide still coming... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Can't say thanks enough for all your Seam guides. I know how much work goes into this, since I did a Vicky head seam guide way back when. I just want you to know how much we (at least I) appriecieate this. James
