Hi Rosie
You can always try an object mask but somehow I don't think thats what you meant you can make the background colour black and the object white but you mean the whole scene. My guess is if you could it would be in the render options but I can't see it in the render options. Try Distance Mask because that sort of works and for high terrains try altitude mask these can be found in render options otherwise I am not sure. Well done on this lovely picture though it is really good.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for the kind comments Yes FranOnTheEdge I made this in Bryce 7.1 Pro with boolean Shapes(mostly Spheres and Cylinders). The hairs where the hardest part but the results are good(I wanted to add droplets but then Bryce had a panic and it wouldn't let it happen.) Thanks for the kind words everyone

I Personally think bobby although Terragen 2 is good it doesn't quite have as much going for it as Bryce because in bryce you can make practically anything terragen 2 is more for landscapes but Bryce is capable of so much more. Not trying to make out it isn't good I just think for some things bryce is easier. I would like to see some of your work one day I bet its amazing

If you want to do it with just 1 mirror hollow out a cube(using 1 postive Cube and a negative that is a little smaller and they you pull it out just before it comes out entire and then group them together(make Sure they have the same glass and reflectiveness) you can also have it surround the entire scene and make it a glass mirror with 100% Reflectiveness. You can also use multiple cylinders or cubes to do this as well here are the examples they are not brilliant just an example. this is the mesh view

How big are the mirrors?
if you want to reflect the scene the size of the mirror will reflect how it looks. Here is a Simple idea make a big mirror with either a Cylindrical or Cubic part for the mirror make it like a glass and rack the reflection up to 100% and it will reflect it right back at you. it Depends also on where the mirrors are so it will need plenty of thought this is probably something you should take you time on and look at photo's on google for the general idea(I guess you would type in mirrior reflections or something). If you want to be really good you need to have an idea for the scene you are creating but it always takes time.I will try and upload an image and add it to this forum when I am done with something I am rendering in Bryce at this very moment. Don't ever give up you have a great idea and certainly very unique

To be perfectly honest it depends on your preferencebut if you have it on Mac only have it if you have either Leopard, Snow Leopard or Mavericks as it is incompatible with Lion and Mountain Lion. It is said Bryce needs a computer with at least 2 gigabyte of Ram(which is the processor speed I would say 4 Gigabytes would be great depending how you use Bryce) so it doesn't need to be as powerful as some of the other modelling programs. Personally if I have it on Windows I would go for XP because it is the most popular with a lot of people. As for Graphics card I have heard NVidia is pretty good here is a link to a site they may answer you questions better than I can. Good Luck and keep Brycing
