With your object highlighted you must have the "E" visible in the dropdown menu, click on this to bring up the edit mesh window where you will have the option to smooth/ unsmooth your object. Without doing any smoothing operation if you hold down "control + d" and "exit the edit mesh window" at the same time you are then presesented with a save window from where the object can be saved in a number of other file formats.
"control+d" still works in my Bryce 6.3 but no longer available in 7pro where you now do File>export. Screen-shot is from B5.5.

AFAIK both are correct. I think it was 6.3 where the "control d" from the edit option where you did smooth/unsmooth on exit you were given a list of file formats you could export to, this function was moved to the file>export position.

jb11, my password was too short as well, it seems the new site requires 6 or more characters, I just created a new password and have not had any probs.

Rosie, dis-connect from the internet and try turning norton off before doing the install. May work, may not but don't forget to turn it back on afterward.

Thread: Decline in Bryce Challenge entries. | Forum: Bryce
@crazydawg
I've sent pm to Joe lets see if he comes back. We just might be able to get some life back into the challenges and the forum as well. I so miss the old days when every time you came here there was 20+ new posts and so many helpful people on board,it was so vibrant then "along came daz----fast movin daz----smooth talkin daz".

Thread: Decline in Bryce Challenge entries. | Forum: Bryce
Yeah I figured there would always be a time when you just pull a doozie out of the bag and want to challenge the best, hence the Open category. So perhaps the option to enter your level plus the open with the same image should be available.

Thread: Decline in Bryce Challenge entries. | Forum: Bryce
Yo Dawg! Yep, have'nt seen you for a while. Tend to agree with what you say so how do you think it would go if the entries were in sections all with the same challenge,ie, Master, senior, intermediate and junior for newcomers. Heres my thoughts on how this could work.
1st, all sections have the same challenge subject.
For the juniors, up to 15 entries or 2 years as a brycer regardless of whether you have won your section of the challenge you must enter the next level (intermediate).
For Intermediate, if you have won or been placed in more 5 entries or have been in that class for 2 years then you must enter the senior section.
Seniors, if you win or are placed in 10 challenges then you are a Master.
There could also be an "Open" section where all levels go head to head.
To determine the subject of each challenge the winners of each section will put forward thier suggestions to the forum moderators, moderators send completed list to those involved, then the winners and the moderators vote for thier choice, most votes becomes next challenge.
Just my thoughts on a different approach which may or may not generate more interest.

OK, have just had a quick check in at Daz, forums are still not up but the store is lightning fast. Added a few things to my wishlist.
Slightly OT, but just a small query . Where it says "compatible software" does that mean the item will only work with that software? I listed a V4 hair item which is perfect for my needs but it only mentions Carrara in the software. I use DS and Bryce.

Thread: Done with DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Simple solution!!! temporarily turn off your anti-virus app then run installers. Never had a problem with daz installers other than they keep changing them. However I believe we now have Zips, awesome.
