Aye, I think it's a pretty cool model! Quite clean, too... What'cha going to do for a final render, I wonder...? Asteroids? Stars? LASERS?!?
Thread: WIP - lighting assistance needed | Forum: Bryce
Shinyary is wise... Good suggestions there! This scene is certainly maturing quickly, it's looking quite nice. Don't forget to render it bigger, though, after you get past the lighting stage?!?

Aye, Johnny, you don't need to hold down "Ctrl" to move the panels around... This has been a "feature" since Bryce 3! The negative Meat-Ball thing has also been well-documented, and isn't an "Easter Egg" at all. Click this link above for a whole gallery full of awesome metaball experiments, courtesy of Englewolf! (still, I like your experiments too, Sans... Keep at it!)Thread: New Project.. | Forum: Bryce
Aye, using a static background defeats the purpose of rendering it in Bryce anyway! The textures are nice, but very low-resolution. They would look okay from far away but this close up you see a lot of dithering, especially in the mech's texture. Perhaps go with a procedural steel texture, and just tweak it with this color scheme in mind in the DTE?

Shin, my friend... "Good lord, but you are good for a beginner. Obviously you..." I am NOT a good lord. I am quite evil, thank you! Can't have you ruining my image... Then it'll be nothing but work, work, work, to get it all back! (grins)

Aye, welcome to the most potent and knowledgable Bryce forum on the planet. If you can't do it here, it can't be done with Bryce! Ask questions, post screenshots, and have fun! Good to meet you, I hope all is well in your world. (bows to you) Off to check out your gallery...!

One of the coolest buildings I've ever seen! Very nice work, and you've certainly outdone Rudy on this one... Keep at it, I cant' wait to see it textured..!

Those are claws. Spikes. Sweep1 in Rhino, to a point... They are set to a glass material in this one, and didn't render very well...

Aye, to quote Frank quoting Leto : "Safaris through ancestral memories teach me many things. The patterns, ahhh, the patterns. Liberal bigots are the ones who trouble me the most. I distrust the extremes. Scratch a conservative and you find someone who prefers the past over any future. Scratch a liberal and find a closet aristocrat. It's true! Liberal governments always develop into aristocracies. The bureaucracies betray the true intent of people who form such governments. Right from the first, the little people who formed the governments which promised to equalize the social burdens found themselves suddenly in the hands of bureaucratic aristocracies. Of course all bureaucracies follow this pattern, but what a hypocrisy to find that even under a communized banner. Ahhh, well, if patterns teach me anything it's that patterns are repeated. My oppressions, by and large, are no worse than any of the others and, at least, I teach a new lesson." --The Stolen Journals (Frank Herbert, "God-Emperor of Dune") Cool design here! What a crazy and interesting concept!
